I just saw the damage for myself. I walked around the corner of the yard and almost started crying, seriously! When I saw the damage, two questions popped into my mind. First, was Sherman ok, and how was he able to go to work today? Second, why did Union Pacific Railways suddenly take a right turn!:evil:

Holy crap dude. The seat ripped off the floor! I hope that helped reduce the decel event and you aren't stuck in bed with a bad back.

It's a good thing you had those diving board bumpers. Otherwise you'd have probably had frame damage.

You are in our prayers Sherman. And I am so freakin' sick of people saying "it's just a 528e".

My 86 MT eta was "only" 528e but it saved my son's life. Many times. My 83 eta saved our asses during economic hardship. My 88 has been a long distance and summer abuse trooper and hospital/transplant runner. The 82 has been a fantastic backup. And even the recent 83 parts car proved to be invaluable.

So Sheman's car my have been "only" an eta... but it saved his life dammit.

100% of E28 owners should be paying attention to the seat coming out of the floor.

Was the floorpan rusty in that part of the car? Is the E28 designed to fail in this way?

Man I was almost afraid to scroll down past the the before pic. A sad day for us eta owners as another one bites the dust, the car can be replaced, you or family cannot. Something to be said about the those big as ugly diving boards( I have em too) And I sustained a crash at 70kms per hr. I drove home and had the car pulled straight, as we have a 100% rear end fault clause so it's covered up here, Shiddy deal on the crash man wishing you all the best!
