How much for these (2) front seats shipped to California (95391), USA? Are these the 2 seats you quoted me 800 euro shipped or were they different?

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
Update:
I did not look over the seats thoroughly. That is my fault.
<PROBLEMS>
** Both bars to move the seats F and R were sitting loose up inside the seat and neither seat works F and R.
** One bar I was able to re-attach and it *might* move the seat forward and back, but the weld on that seat is broken and is impossible or extremely difficult to weld that bracket or remove it from the seat.
** On the other seat, the F R bar was missing, the plastic to retain it is missing, so the bar will fall out. The bar is bent. I put the bar in, and the seat does not move F and R at all. Only one side mechanism works to release the rail.
** Both seats have had welding and were not done completely.
** Both seat belt tensioners were not attached to the seat and one plastic cable "stay" is broken.
** Both seat backs had broken parts and one clip was re-glued upside down.
** Several screws all over were loose or missing or extra.
** The cut and replaced leather was done like an amateur and is an eyesore. I missed this when looking as the photos but another guy on the mye28.com forum saw it I can no longer say I am OK with it because of all the problems!
** The armrests were cut out of the seats and not included and I do not recall they were included in the photos.
</PROBLEMS>
I strongly suggest ANYONE looking to purchase from "Overdrive" "Iveta Kondrate" to listen to my story. He is responding to me. I do not think he intentionally sold junk, but I have no idea. If he refunds my money, or sends me new working seats, I will update this thread. I gave him a day or two to come up with a solution. If he doesn't, I will post a full seller feedback warning. This has screwed me out of $750 and I would basically have to do days of labor and fabricate or source parts to repair these seats and it's far more than they are worth at this point to me. Time to cut my losses and junk this crap into the dumpster.

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
I have a set of E34 sport seat bases that may help you Spen. Recall I made the set I have in Vlad out of two sets.
I'd be happy to give you a good deal on them to you as long as you don't pay in bitcoin. Or maybe we can barter something. You know how to reach me

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
You bought the seats more than half year ago ( 219days ).Spen wrote:Update:

After your received them you have checked them and wrote in here that all is fine and wrote your POSITIVE Feedback where everyone can see above in this thread :
And now in one beautiful day, you write me that you want full refund without any " Hello " , or " remember me ", you start writing me that you have broken seats and send me pics of mystical FRESH welding places and broken MAIN mounting parts about which even I have no idea absolutely, because I have never ever done any welding and Metal works with seats, because all seats come from cars with inspection and it works normally.
Things what I can do if need is only its reupholstering in Interior shop and thats it. But you also are adequate and should understand, that you have bought things more than half year ago and now writing me that they are cracked and it`s my bad. I do not think this is normal. Especially write me threats and blackmail, like you already do Impossible to please everyone. And you should not point to me what is money for me and what is not, as you already pointed. I'm not a classmate you to talk to me.
I have normal Feedback and no any problems have been with me as I know …
I`m always opened for reasonable adequate offers, but when start doing like you do, there is no any willing to help with ….
Also, do not look at your boorish and insolent behavior and decrees, I still say that I can try to find the whole frame with shipping from your side.
I consider that the charges in my address are not justified. Since during this time with the seats could happen, anything, anywhere ...
Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
It's not unusual for someone to acquire pas\rts as they become available, knowing they'll have a use for them. You have to get parts when they become available and that is often not right when you need them. Rather, you gather the parts you need over time, waiting until you've accumulated all you need for the project(s). I think it's quite conceivable that the buyer didn't look as closely at the seats as he thought he did. In fact, I think it's more improbable that he would wait this long and break and tear up the seats and then blame it on you. That's much harder to swallow (but possible).
I bought quite a few parts from a seller and once I drove them cross country and unpacked them when I got home, most were not as advertised - with the exception of two parts he had unpacked to show me how great they were. And those two parts were, just not the rest that was already packed up. Sometimes on the surface, everything looks good.

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
Pretty sure on this board there is no statute of limitations for bad reviews, as it should be since many of us buy stuff that never gets unpacked for months afterwards. I too, like Spen, would be pissed if I received damaged goods. So here's some advice before your reputation around here gets damaged beyond repair, you better know what your selling.Overdrive wrote:You bought the seats more than half year ago ( 219days ).
Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
I tried replying on my phone, but instead I have to resort to a computer as it didn't post.
Anyway, I initially asked Iveta/Overdrive to reimburse me the whole amount $750 (650 Euro) that I paid including shipping.
Then I thought about it. I assume, giving him benefit of the doubt, that he just didn't look to see the welds, the broken plastic, the bars for forward and back missing, etc.
The local buyer may purchase my seats for his sport E34 anyway, I lowered the price from $750 OBO to $200.
I figured, OK, if he pays $200 (my potential buyer) and I sold my comfort seats for $250, that is $450.
750-450 = 300.
I revised my e-mail to Iveta to ask him for $300 back.
He still makes money and I break even.
Naturally I would be honest as I am being honest about this whole situation.
Fact is, he sold me seats that were bad. Maybe he didn't look at them. I certainly have sold parts that had issues, only to local buyers so far, but I have had some close calls on eBay which all turned out to be the buyers mistake (seriously). In those cases, had I been at fault, I would have reimbursed them every cent.
Instead, I am making him, Overdrive/Iveta, a reasonable offer of $300 to break me even.
Naturally I would post on the forum and alert people that I had issues, but we came to a compromise.
I would've course buy again from him if this happened.
Since he angrily told me through e-mail that this situation was MY FAULT, and his responses are not apologetic or helpful, but aggressive and stand-offish, I can only assume that I am wasting my time. So, I accept my loss.
However, this forum is a little glimpse of a free market system self-correcting. Bad sellers go away and good sellers stay. Same with bad buyers and good buyers.
I hope that Iveta/Overdrive loses business far in excess of the $300 I am potentially out (currently $500 unless I sell the seats).
I am grateful for CEK's (my neighbor in Seattle area) offer for the sport seat bases. It would cure most of the issues on these seats, minus the upholstery re-seaming that I missed in the photos and the missing armrests that leave holes in the sides of the seats. Those items I have overlooked already and never thought twice about, other than how I can explain to a potential buyer and likely accept a lower than purchase price + shipping offer from a local sale.
What I cannot accept is the fact that the seat bases on both are not functional. Forward and Back don't work on both. I may have repaired one last night, but then the re-welded portion snapped clean off where it had previously broken in a hard to see spot (and looks incredibly hard to remove without special press tools in a tiny, tight area). Had I known these seats were basically for parts only, I would have never bought!
Overdrive, Iveta, you have treated me like scum. I hope you lose customers and business because of this, I am not saying you directly tried to screw me. You did ship the parts. We did communicate. We were friendly. I appreciate that you continued to respond to my e-mails, albeit aggressively and refusing to take any responsibility. That I do not appreciate. I do not appreciate looking into the seats "219 days later" after I pressed send on PayPal and realizing that they are basically junk, or would require new bases at a minimum to function adequately. I cut my losses and move on, as I have a family and do not have time to play with a trashed pair of seats. I hope to recover $200 more and write the rest off into the live and learn category.
Any time you, Iveta, want to send me $300 USD, feel free. Spencer.Maiers@gmail.com is my PayPal. I will be sure to alert ALL forum members and update this thread as well as the buyer/seller feedback thread to inform everyone that you made good on my offered compromise.

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
Posted a message in buyer/seller feedback section. I have tried to be reasonable and impartial with the facts. I am severely disappointed by my treatment as a buyer from Iveta/Overdrive and I believe he will take the stance "the seller is always right" if there are any issues.
I am sincerely sorry for recommending him as a seller publicly and once privately - after I took a good look at the seats and realized the junk I bought.
I hope that any other buyers have received good condition parts from him. I realize accidents happen. Handling it poorly is unacceptable.
I'm not here to lie and make up stories. Now I can move on and I hope nobody else loses money dealing with Overdrive/Iveta. That said, good luck to all.

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
Seats were not clear where, it is unclear how much, it is not clear how stored. Clever! I Always ready to cooperate and help, if required.
In this case, because impudent and boorish conduct of the seller, so do not want to, but even though it is in a personal letter.
In the data case, such as you do not need to be. This will be a lesson to you.
You must be a complete i#*ot not noticing this damages ... All seats removed from car without problem and tested as I matched before.
Before you say something and do, you need to watch your language and answer be responsible for your actions. Conversations with you are finished.

Re: SOLD. E34 Sport Seats.
Not to beat this thread to death, but in the spirit of others buying from Overdrive, here goes...
I replaced both bowden cables on the seats, various screws, pins as well as clamps for the adjustment for the tension bars to move the seats forward and backwards. The broken seat base was welded by a friend at work who is a body man, and a good one. The weld is very strong comparatively to what it was (a couple tacks from what I saw, and only a few MM of actual metal holding the seat front hinge on the base together. Re-riveted it and adjusted everything.
Voila!
Seats worked well, I couldn't test the front function due to them being not bolted down in a car. But I am nearly 100% certain the very mechanical front function indeed works.
In short, I want to APOLOGIZE for my frustration and annoyance over this issue. I tried to be straight up, and I felt that the issue was not that Overdrive / Iveta tried to sell me junk intentionally. I just felt that they weren't looked at carefully.
The local buyer who I told sorry, forget it, was still interested and stayed in touch. He just picked them up today and I helped him load the seats into his truck.
Overdrive sent me the seats. He followed through. He replied when I e-mailed him. I was upset due to the numerous and seemingly insurmountable issues, but BMW still sells parts for these seats. All in all, I probably spent another $100 to make the seats function.
As before, good luck to all and SORRY for being so upset Overdrive. I'm sure you hate me, but I was able to sell them and likely they won't come back due to issues. I think he is happy to have them going into his E34 540i.
