Instant e28 Touring?
Anybody know anything about these add-on touring caps?
I was browsing through the Facebook e28 group & saw a video posted there; his car is sporting one of these caps.

I asked a question about it & he replied that it's a German-built aftermarket item that goes on & off in about 5 minutes. He didn't give any more info on it, just that they are rare. I would imagine it's like the fiberglass caps you see on pickups and El Caminos.
It doesn't seem like it would be very useful with the trunk lid in place. Still very cool though.

I was thinking of the round windows you used to see when custom vans were big... Or like the Pinto Cruising Wagon.M. Holtmeier wrote:If it only had heart windows in the sides...
But seriously, I'd be surprised if that fiberglass cap weren't available with side windows, just like you can order a pickup topper with or without side windows.
