Just add a reply to your thread. I try to spice it up or add information, but simply "Bump" will work. If you're bumping a thread where the last message is your own, it's considerate (and kinda' sneaky in a ninja-edit sort of way) to delete it first, then add a new bump.

If your ad falls to the second page you can add a reply to bump it back to the front page, but usually if you haven't received a response by that time it's probably for a reason. You may want to say something like "Too high of a price?" or "No interest, really?" or something, if only to set you apart from spammers or phisherman ;)
Good luck, in whatever you're trying to sell :)

You can bump an ad in the for sale section, but it is not generally considered polite to do so more than once every 3-4 days or so. Cross posting, especially about a part for sale, is also considered rude, since most people that come here read every section.

Hope that answered your questions.
