Editing time buffer

Post by Corner Carver »

I miss the time buffer that was there before the upgrade. You know, the one that would allow you to make changes to an already posted post without that little "edited" note at the bottom yet.

Can it come back?

*edit - now its not doing it! lol wut?

It just did it to me here

There's a "Preview" button next to Submit. I suggest you try it. ;)

The double-post filter time limit will probably get reduced as time goes on. I like it to be a little shorter, Justin likes it longer obviously.

You have until the next post in the thread gets submitted or some amount of time passes (I forget how long it is, but it can't be changed easily) to edit your post without that tag on the bottom. In an active thread, the next post can come very quickly, so it behooves you to proofread before you submit if you really dislike that tag.

Doh! Never mind. I just realized it's connected to the timing of the next post.

I cannot tell you how many times I've previewed a post and amongst all the back-patting for what a great job I do, I miss a couple of minor errors. Go back and fix them and I get the message.

I even got it today between two threads. Forget which.
