My wife's happy regardless of what I choose to buy, so long as I don't block her purchases.

Nice, was it at the 5erFest 2007? I think I've seen it there.

Duke,

Was that the year it won? John SCB, Kenny Blankenship and I were looking at the old trophy at 5er West, your plaque was on there.

That was 2002. Don't think I won anything in 2007.

Does it have the leather dash? I think Ivo and I talked with you about that.

Yes, along with arm rests and door caps.

If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. ;)

That is one nice car. So Duke... How long before you get back into the e28 game? "Been there, done that," doesn't seem like your speed, and the entry fee for a decent one doesn't have to be as high as that particular car, and thus easier to justify with the spousal unit. Think "incrementalism". ;)

BTDT is my gig..........I did about everything to that car. I still have to explore the Jag E-Type, Amphicar, DB5 (yea right) and several other notable cars before I return to one I know.

That makes little sense considering you alread had owned a Tiger. Maybe I read it wrong, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Did someone finally get that car running? Does the button below my steering wheel still make the head gasket blow even if duke doesn't own it?

different wheels?... says who? I think they're perfect. Very nice car and well executed, it appears.

Starting bid is a reach but likely well below what's been invested; as usual for custom cars. This car is in my top ten E28's. Very well executed and tasteful mods. I would have left the Hartge hardware under the hood rather than going with the turbo kit.

Should have wrapped the door trim and center console with leather to match the rest of the interior. The missing fogs are distracting and the manual windows while the rear sunshade is electric? What not just use darker tint on the rear glass? Minor details, otherwise a remarkable car.

The fogs aren't missing. They were removed and ducting installed to direct air to the heat exchangers installed on each side.

My 745 came from the factory with manual windows and a power sunroof. Weird things happen all the time.

In other words, the fogs are missing (because they were removed). I recall this from the build thread. Nonetheless, I feel their absence distracts from the looks of the car. I was going to copy the ducting idea back when I was going water>air. Still using it but in another way...

When did you buy a 745? And we were making such progress.
