I know this is an e28 board, but with all bmw's sometimes you have to pause and say "...sweet"

Welcome new Portland Or guy. What kind of 5er do you drive? I have always liked the 740 sports.

Hey, I have a 1984 533i, its blk/blk, 5spd, w/ bottlecaps trx wheels, 165k mi. I bought it about 5 months ago from the second owner, a guy who works at the oregonian. Its in great shape, garaged all its life, with sheepskins on the seats. I live in the SE Hawthorne area. I'm new to this forum but it has already been very helpful. What car do you have? Also Do you have any suggestions as to which shops in town are good? I've been going to Boyd's on sandy.

Try Pacific Motorsport on Powell, they're right behind the Aladdin. Also Autohaus Bayern in Beaver-tron is good.

Nice house too... ;)

Wait -- insider fox pass! I recognized the house, but the brain said "Pittock Mansion". Now brain realizes that's the house at the east entrance to Washington Park. I recognize it because a friend used to live there.

Yeah, that is'nt my house... sigh (i wish it was). I just drove around until i found the nicest house i could and took pictures in front of it. I figured it'd look better there than in front of some hippy store on hawthorne. I have used the pittock before tho. It helps if you can get a jogger (or hot babe) in the background. Thats a 95 740i, i put the wheels on it. Paid $10k for it, had it 6 months, sold it for a small profit. Its actually a blast to drive, especially on the freeway.
