Brad,

Your in a pretty good position to CREATE an E28 Touring. I'm certain an E28 M535iT would be the ultimate custom . I believe the correct parts from the E34 Touring could easily be grafted onto the E28, and you could probably use a section of the rear floor pan to allow the fold down rear seat from the Touring. :)

I too like the look of the E28 Touring conversions I've seen. If one could only score one of the ALPINA Tourings.

Beautiful car BNC...too bad they are not exempt from DOT, right Rich?
Was this white e28T listed for sale on Mobile.de or similar? Weren't all of these eurospec BMW Tourings built by non-factory outfits? Surely there can only be a small # of them produced, if so. Saw an e23 Touring on one of the German websites earlier this week...now that's a BIG wagon.

That conversion would be way beyond my skills, and maybe beyond anyones skills close by or around here as well....

I've seen them switch out F&R clips but this would be, a chopped, narrowed and grafted clip, even after you got the chassis right you would have to do the same to the tailgate and that would be the hard part...

Would prolly be cheaper just to bring one back...

I know where a 7 series wagon is and have considered grabbing it but it is basically a rolling chassis at this moment....

I'm still considering grabbing it though...

Imagine a sweet 7 touring pulling a sweeter M535i.....

Hmm... interesting pictures and thoughts on a use for my wrecked 535i. Loping off the screwed backend in favor of some custom fabwork. Only if I had the money!

You're very "special" Brad ;). Oh yeah, if your M535 project isn't too top-secret, I'd like to go to the mountains for a day/weekend this summer and see it/help out.

Brad,
You're not stranger to a "rolling BMW chassis"....go for it...get that 7erTouring in your yard or pass it on to Jay in VA so he can built it up :)
Cheers,
Tim

Being a fellow 'wagon man', I'd love to have this ride.

Any of you ever see the E30 touring built to M3 specs? Ohhhhhhhh boy, friggin unreal.

They are not that common in Germany. As a matter of fact I never saw one in the 4 years of living in Germany.

The wife would shit a brick if I bought another car right now, but I am keeping the 7Touring
under my hat for now....

Once the M5 and M535i parts cars are gone, I could be bold enough to bring another car home, well not
home but to the shop, it would take the wife mos to find it as she never comes by the shop...

hheehheheehehheheheeee

I like the wagons...

Skeen, I prolly won't have a chance to get back on the 5er until August sometime due to
July being one of our busiest months...but after that I could have the wagon in the shop by winter...

Get the 5 done, then the 3 IXT then the 7T and I would be done....

Is that too much??

NAAAAAA, no such thing.....LOL

I think a 7er touring would be pretty cool.
