Just getting into the E28, as my 1998 M3 is sold!

I have a 1986 528E, 5 Speed, Silver on Red Leather, 139K.

Looking for:

17 inch MM11 Miglias
M5 or 535is Front Dam
M5 Rear Trunk Spoiler

If nobody has these used, where is best place to go for new parts??

Thanks.

First off, this post may fit better in the For Sale/Wanted area or Gen Con. You may get more replies.

I don't have anything you're looking for, but keep an eye on the FS ads and on ebay. Sometimes stuff pops up in the want ads of the Roundel.

i am also curious on why you would sell and E36 M3 for an E28.
I someday want to do the opposite

good questions, i asked the same myself. here is my reason:

i had a 1998 m3 4 door 5 speed. i always felt that i had to upgrade the car to enjoy it. i put in a new koni /eibach suspension, new brakes, complete tune up, new wheels, stereo, exhaust, etc, etc.

for some reason, i felt like i had to compete on the streets, as people expected the M3 to race them on the road. no way could i get shown up by a neon.

i spent loads of time tuning it up, changing oil and washing it. i never drove it to the mall or out at night for fear of damage in parking lots or "haters".

10 years ago, i had a 1986 325es and i always loved the e28 5 series. i feel that now with the e28, i can truly enjoy a regular bmw and be somewhat carefree of what other expect. i love the roominess of the car and classic styling. yet it retains the smooth bmw 5 speed and low end torque i've always enjoyed.

there you have it. m3's are fun to own and drive, but the car sort of takes over your free time and the car begins to drive you! not to mention, there are brand new low budget cars that can easily compete with the E36 M3 now, so it also became a losing battle to up the horsepower. the e36 M3 motor comes from the factory practically maxed out as far as power is concerned. maybe you could squeeze out 15 more HP, unless you spend 10K to supercharge it!

i know every angle and issue with the e36. if you have questions on repairs or upgrades, let me know.

Your a brave soul. I don't know many who can go from an M3 to a 528e. My friend has a 95 M3 with a few mods, and I absolutely love the car. The look, style, the sound of it. Enjoy your E28 for they are the 133t! :D Have any pics?

nvm, saw the pics of the E28 with the wheels on BF, didn't realize it was your car. The rear tire looks nice and wide. Is it just me or is it really wide?

Lookin for new factory parts? Call me. I give a heck of a discount on genuine BMW parts and am cheap on shipping costs. Not to mention that I give a crap about these cars and I know what an E28 is made of. I own 2 of em BTW.

One reason to change: A built M30 will eat an M3 off the line and most everyday driving, on the track the M3 will prevail....

I would like to have a M3 for a DD and keep my M535i as a Sunday driver...

No offense to anyone meant here...
