It's nearly done, the 14 month engine rebuild project on my e12 M535i. I was able
to drive her in a limited fashion over the past few days and I pulled her out of the
garage Saturday to take these pictures. But there is still an oil leak from the
timing chain tensioner and the timing itself is all horked up because she won't
run right. I'm having my mechanic CCA guy make a house call tonight since I can't
get the car to him so he can set the timing. I just want to start breaking in the new
motor. For those who haven't followed my engine rebuild saga here are a few
important specs.

.07mm overbore with lightweight JE forged pistons, 9.75:1 compression ratio
fully balanced bottom end including flywheel and pressure plate
8.5 lb lightweight aluminum flywheel
conn rods shot peened and rebuilt
Fahey crank hub
all new belts hoses, many other new parts
Alpina progressive rate front springs, regular Alpina rears w/Bilstein Sports
E12 M535i front airdam and original rear spoiler fitted

That's the jist of it. Yes, I know the car doesn't have headlights in the pictures.
I sold my yellow Cibies to Brian "Luvs the Old Schools" in Milwaukee and I haven't
replaced them yet. Pictures below...

Adam,
Ahhh....a joy to see. What a beauty you have there. Hope you enjoy the newly rebuilt engine. That is one clean engine bay
and car. Make sure our comrade, Lee Cornett in Meridian MS, sees these photos. :D
Cheers,
Tim
