Bill here in StL has an awesome looking royal blue 'is' with the gold '80's basketweave treatment. That combo just looks right on his car. I've had a schwarz car that came with gold wheels and that did NOT look right to me, however I am curious about how they'd look on a red E28. Anyone have a pic?

Ah, so you know what hell looks like, eh CR??? ;)

I tend to agree with you, but still curious nonetheless. To paraphrase Mr. Krieger:--anybody with really bad taste have a picture of their red car with gold wheels on it? Please share!!! We won't laugh--really!!!!

well, it's not an e28 and it's not basketweaves, but the colors are right. I think it actually looks pretty good on my friend's dad's Alfa GTV:

You guys that don't like a red car with gold BBS wheels are crazy! Sure, it only works
on some cars, but I think a Zinnoberrot E28 would look great with gold BBS. When I say gold,
I'm not talking super heavy, dark gold stuff. More like a nice champagne gold like Wurth used
to sell. My dad has a Guards Red 86 928S on gold BBS wheels, and here's the wheel of choice
for my 323i. Just had them refinished this summer. The car is going to be Zinno by the end of
this week.

Cinnabar with tan looks real nice with gold BBS RS wheels. Purely subjective, of course, but it's a combo that's looked good since the cars were new in 1987 in my opinion.

Here's a quick pic of my passenger side door of my 323i, along with one of my BBS wheels. Looks good I think.
Image And here's a seat that we built for another customer, using the same colour that my car will get.
