Rolling The Twisties 2014- August 15 - Check your Inboxes

Post by Twisty »

I would like to officially announce Rolling The Twisties 2014!

While the plans are not completely solid yet (no route, no destinations) we know where and when.

Where: RTT 2014 will be a tour through the Ozarks in Arkansas. It will be a new route with new things to see.

When: We are aiming for the Labor Day weekend, Sept 1, 2014. We are playing around with the idea of starting on Labor Day and doing the week after. The kids should be back in school and the roads less busy.

We are definitely open to suggestions and ideas.

To sign up for Rolling The Twisties, as always visit http://rollingthetwisties.com/

Previous users must sign up again to gain access to the site (so we have an idea of who is coming/thinking of coming). Emails will be sent out and this thread updated as details are hashed out...

UPDATE!

The Accommodation and Dates have been posted to the website. Routes coming in the next few months!

See http://rollingthetwisties.com for more details!

Should be closer for all the TX boys as well.

Its a LONG drive from Ontario though... 16-18 hours... That's going to be a 2 day trip...

Andrew's 850i/6 I drove on the tail was DA BOMB! These V12's are certainly heavy but still a blast... and so comfortable!

RTT demands the ///M5. Its my quality time with Heinz.

There's a pretty active segment of our local CCA chapter over in central AR that goes on a lot of drive over there. My inlaws live right off of Hwy 5 which is a really nice road. Let me know and I can put you in touch with one of the drive organizers over there. He's a Canadian too.

My gut instinct is that the halloween run at TOD will be a yearly thing untill folks are not interested. But thats a very different type of get-to-gether than a typical RTT run becaue its only one location. It requires virtually no planning. You just show up.
I must say that I would go back to that motorcycle museum in a heart beat. One could spend days there.

Also, I just watched the film that Rodney made for the umpteen time. It always brings a smile to my face! I cant think of a better way to enjoy our cars and car owners than RTT. I might also mention that after 4 years no one has ever recieved a citation during an RTT run because we always adhere to the speed limit.

I REALLY hope I'm home by then. It's not looking good, but I'm gonna hold out hope. This has literally been the highlight of my year the past two years.

I'm willing to bet the organizers of this event can point us in the right direction as we plan the route.

And, unfortunately for you guys, I'm too busy to do any pro bono work anymore.

Indeed, but we have a really nice picture taken by Rodney during RTT13.

Brian I think you have the RTT crew all wrong. Two beers per person per day is the ration. Most save the rations for a month or so and then bring them to RTT

Rodney, it's a priceless and a great promotional picture in your portfolio which bears your name and that only happens at RTT. ;)

No worries, just enjoy your car and driving. life is good.
