Updated forum software

Post by Justin_FL »

After 8 years it was time to upgrade the phpBB version. I think all the bits converted properly? :rockon:

Expect things to evolve from the current state as I tweak the software. Search isn't 100% working yet (is a bit slow and is case sensitive), there are some DB optimizations to do and I wanted to get the forum live again).

Excellent work. Thanks for your efforts. It will take a little getting used to but I'm sure there's more to it than a shiny new look.

Way to go guys! Really appreciate the work that you put in.

But the big question is: Is there a wiki?

Is there still an option to see posts since last visit?

Clicking on "Board Index" give me this single line and nothing else,

//-- mod : latest topic title -------------------------------------------------- //-- add include $phpbb_root_path . 'includes/class_ltt.' . $phpEx; //-- fin mod : latest topic title ----------------------------------------------

Yes, "View new posts" from the board index. In the white space below the date and time at the top.

Where did the option go for board style? I changed it to something more reminiscent of the old format and it reverted to this special edition new thingy and I can't change it back. :(

Funky! I feel like I'm a parallel universe or something, avatars on the right?

Thanks for keeping us modern. ;)

And smished down into the center of my 1920X1080 browser window.

This is a drag.

LOL. It is a pretty dramatic change. But we like you Chris. That should account for something. :)

Yay! Forum now scales to screen size :clap:

Would like the avatars/posters on the left side of the screen.

Do a refresh while holding down the shift key, at least that is what usually works on PCs.
