outlook.com

Post by tig »

A friend of mine is trying to register to the board. He uses outlook.com for his email.

He's getting
Too much spam from this domain, blocked users please email blocked-20141217 @ mye28.com
He says he sent a mail to blocked-20141217(at)mye28.com but got no reply.

Besides using a different email system, what should he do?

Sorry he is having problems, But seriously, I'd recommend using a different webmail system! I just did some test messages from my Hotmail accounts and NONE of them come through, so that is probably why I never saw an email from him. Pretty sure Outlook.com uses the same exact servers at Microsoft. And I get no bounce or spam rejection reply from MyE28, so it is probably an issue on Microsoft's side with non-delivery.

But my Gmail account and a couple others worked just fine.

In the years of running the server here, MSN/Hotmail/Outlook and AOL are the worst at doing email, bar none.

If your friend wants to use Outlook.com address, PM it to me and I can add his email to the forum software whitelist and it will let him register. I blocked Outlook.com from phpBB because it is an absolute favorite with the Russian spammers that were hitting the site the past couple months. I was getting 15-20 registrations a day and only a couple (5-6) legit users were registered with Outlook.com address.
