My car started making a pretty loud clunking noise in the suspension today. I need to put it on the lift to investigate... I think it is a sway bay mount or end link I hope...

Just when you think your car is sorted it falls back apart

Turns out the lemforder idler arm is about to break off and has about an inch of play in it! Has all of 2k miles on it, WTF?

I don't drive the car easy but this is ridiculous, I'm very disappointed in parts quality these days.

I hope they warranty it.

The one I put on my 528i prevented steering from coming back to center. I put about 1000 miles on it before it started to become not as tight like a tiger.

ya know, any time you wanna just park that out at my house, let me know. i've got a warm spot in my shop you can tuck it out of the way. i might have to take it into town to "get the mail," but i'd be willing to help a brother out.

bitchin!

I finally put my interior together... I have had the under dash/glove box out of the car for months because I had not had the time to upholster the speaker pods I made, over the weekend I took the time to finish them. At the same time I installed/modified a new leather shift boot that I bought and installed my recovered M-tech 1 wheel I bought months ago. The interior is still nothing special but at least for now it is all together. I still need new floor mats and a crack free dash but I will probably never get around to that.

This week I'm working on the rear euro valance, I already welded it on last week but now I am doing the bodywork... It's only about 100 in the shop so a pretty good week for it.

The sooner I get it done the sooner I can get rid of this thing and get a real more grownup car.

Mostly I am just bored with the car, I don't usually have a daily driver this long. I need a change... A normal car that I won't turn into a project would be ideal.

Over the last few weeks in my spare time I have been working towards finishing the euro conversion, I have fully welded and bodyworked the new euro tail panel, welded up the front US trim holes and welded the antenna hole. I am also rebuilding the custom front valance I built by shortening the duck bill by 5/8".

I will most likely repaint the car a panel or more at a time when I have the time.

You should paint each panel a different color like a harlequin Golf. Just do it a different shade of white.

I could do that but it already fits that profile.

When you get into town we need to have a bare knuckle fist fight. The winner has to poop on cek's hood.

Whoa! Hold on a sec. I can't wax this thing for like 2 months. No shitting on my car until it has some protection. After that, fine.
