You were spotted in Cali… of course nothing arrived. You gotta be home. ;) Merry Christmas Ahab!

And thanks again Dave for putting this together.

Maybe we should have 28ERS (e28 Elf Referral Service). Kick it off on Thanksgiving Day. Like PBE, the participating forum member contacts the Missus or the SO of the "to be gifted" forum member. Make a few recommendations of gifts the spouse or SO has been wanting. Receive what you really need under the tree… or doghouse.
"Hello Mrs./Mr. XXXXX my name is Dave and I'm a BMW elf helping Santa with his gift giving this holiday. I hear that Charlie could use a 3/8 Wera Zykop ratchet. It is available on Amazon with Prime delivery." Feel free to reply if you require additional assistance. Happy Holidays!

That and Dave and I revisited the fact that I typo'd my own address last year, actually I think it was two years ago... Fear not George, I got the last two boxes and I'll get this one too. I'll just have to wait until the owner of the address I've used for the past few years returns from the west coast herself...

And yes, a huge thanks to Dave and all the participants for keeping this going each year.

As Dave mentioned, I got one box and squirreled it away to reduce the chance of its contents further deflecting my kids' already-questionable moral compasses.

Box #2 I opened thinking it was just another incoming Christmas present or business-related shipment. Dave and I chatted. Then box #3 showed up and we chatted some more. I PM'd both intendex recipients to let them know what happened.

So, I've gone to the USPS and picked up some more boxes. I could probably just forward the two boxes along to their intended recipients, but I'd like to add a little something extra to both. Downside: I've got family visiting, the boxes are in two different locations, and I live out in the boonies. I'll make it happen, though, but they obviously won't make it until after Xmas.

Keep calm and merry on!

I opened mine early because I didn’t get to be the Donald Trump of Mye28 by following the rules!
Actually, it's because I'm hitting the road straight from work today and I don't want to wait until Boxing Day fer Christ's sake! Get it? It's Christmas...Christ's sake? Not trying to offend but I’m pretty sure Jesus would think it was funny.

My box was from 'mjs' in Boston. It was heavy and quite a challenge to open as it had a lot of uncured expandable foam stuff inside. It was worth the extra work though because it contained BEER. I can't believe all six bottles made it intact.
I love trying new brews and what's great about these, is that not only haven't I tried them, I've never heard of them. :)

Image

In the rest of the box from left to right:

A carrying case for microbrew bottles with a side pocket full of coasters (because after all, we're not savages are we?).
A book by Mindy Kaling. I'm going to have to Google this book but even not knowing anything about it, I WILL say it spoke to me. I think it said "re-gift". :D
An abs & arms workout guide so he's obviously seen pictures of me...
Cassettes by Fleetwood Mac, The Pogues and Talking Heads.
Boston Weather Guide
Some kind of BMW temp sensor (i'll have to run the part #)
A pack of Orbit gum for that just brushed clean feeling
A fridge magnet
Two packs of hex head screws stainless or maybe titanium
A nice card :D

Just opened my box from Ray in Phoenix this evening... lots of cool goodies and a detailer's delight!! :D Thanks Ray and Merry Christmas!!

Contents as follows:

- 3 small terrycloth towels
- bag of pecans
- Craftsman 10-piece Socket Wrench Set (new) ... love it, and will put in one of the cars to supplement the BMW trunk tool kit
- 2 e28 inside door pulls
- Mix of Maguires packs, e.g., wash & wax; carnuba premium wax; tire gel
- Other packs, e.g., Lexol leather care wipe; Invisible Glass wipes
- P21s Carnuba wax (small jar)
- BMW e28 lug nut wrenches (2)
- tool kit pliers
- 2 Roundels (excellent condition)
- Misc. badges, e.g., Volvo of Princeton, Volvo of Bridgewater, Porsche, Maserati, MB 450 SEL
- Assorted magazines, e.g., Rolling Stone (12/15), Autoweek (4/15, 10/15), Road & Track (6/15), duPont Registry (1/16), Exotic Car Buyers Guide (2016)

So, I'm off to do a little reading and perhaps crack a few nuts (pecans), while awaiting Santa. :) I wonder if there are any 80's BMWs in that Exotic Car Buyer's Guide... could be looking for an M1??

Thanks again Ray... most will be put to good use and the rest will be displayed on the Bahn wall.

Thanks for opening a your box Roy. I'm stuck at work until 4:00 and I'm bored out of my mind. Now would one of you goody-two-shoes open a box already?
You guys are probably the kids that reminded the teacher right before the bell rang on Friday, that she forgot to assign homework.

Opened up mine last night in an old tradition, where in Bulgaria we always did gifts on the 24th eve.

Posting now though! Who is the GA-fellow owner that sent me this amazing box, as I didn't recognize the name?

Image

- 1 Box Cutter
- 3 Pittsburgh speed wrenches
- 1 Hammer bottle opener (COOOL)
- Multiple Exhaust studs - didn't fit the S38 but I will find a use for those.
- 1 Coolant hose
- 1 GA license plate
- German first aid kit - going straight to the E28, you never know.
- CUMMINS stickers - bad ass, I wish they would fit on my hard hat
- Bimmer magazine from 2006 that has a detailed buyers guide on E12 and E28s. Back when E60 M5 was a new car!
- 2 cam caps
- 5 or 6 Hand warmers (i got a lot of those this year)
- Multiple boxes of splice connectors - i really like this product.
- 1 Colorado Avalanche hockey puck
- 1 PEZ santa

License plate in use already!

Merry Christmas all!

Who was the sender? Someone from down under?

How much would you sell the Haynes manual for? I have both a 3 and 5 series and it would be great to have all the repair info for both cars consolidated in one book.
