I'm shocked & disappointed he'd re-gift the t-shirt I sent him. How long ago was that anyway? :dunno:

Sorry Mr. Grau… I succumbed to the pressures of traditionalism. Opened mine today.

In the box:

Very nice Polk Audio car speakers awesomeness!
45 year BMWCCA grill badge
assorted Decals
Pillbox filled with pills I think these weren't meant to be in here. You gonna be alright without your meds Troy?

Thank you for the great gifts and kind note. Ricky is alive and well!

This is just about a complete regift of the box I sent out last year.
Only half the stuff.

Also, right after I got home from the post office, I realized I forgot to shove a handful more things into the box, including the other Lem bushing. That has been bugging me since before I left for my trip. To make it up to you, I'll give you the big brake kit from my M5 the next time I see you. Pretty sure it's 850i single piston front calipers and non-vented E34/E32 rears, I'll have to re-check the part numbers. Just lemme know if I need to bring them to the Vintage, Tedfest, Texfest or wherever else I'm going to be.

So first comes the admission - I opened my boxes (plural) almost as soon as they arrived on Tuesday night. Geordi clearly didn't read the instructions because he sent not one but TWO priority boxes!!! The opening wasn't really my fault - my wife seemed to sense something in the box that she wanted and said that SHE could not wait until Christmas, so I opened them up....and what a trove of booty I found!
Image
What Jen could sense were the NUMEROUS Smurf figures. They went straight into a Christmas display and have moved permanently into her collection. Other goodies include: A few other Happy Meal toys, a set of metric gear-wrenches, a pair of bumper sidemarker lights, a pair of e28 hood grilles, a USB cable that goes perfectly with the ioGear travel charger (I've already had to fight the kids off that one....), a big Concept Cars coffee table book, a #twoallbeefpattiesspecialsaucelettucecheesepicklesonionsonasesameseedbun tshirt, a sweet SOG pocketknife, a "Respect Your Elders" license plate frame, a Drive 4 Corners wristband, and an awesome handmade wood car from Italy (Jen grabbed that for another display!).

Quite a haul - Thanks very much George! Merry Christmas to you and Ramona!

To be honest, I opened my box from Ahab a long time ago. It was totally Swagtastic and I'll post some pics when we get off of the road. Sketchy cell/internet coverage and battery life has made it nearly impossible and I've been kinda busy with all of that gorgeous eggnog.

^^^^Wow.

Even though I did not participate in this years....it looks like I actually did! I can I count at least 12 items from my last years box sent to someone in TN. Looks like they used all the "holiday cheer" though.

BTW that gas pedal came off a 997 Turbo!

I am a little embarrassed. I had never paid attention to these threads and didn't realize the exchange was so serious/generous. I sent useful items but not nearly as fun/cool as what has been pictured in this thread.

You are quite welcome sir. That's a short shifter for the e28 (one of many versions out there), btw.

Excuse my ignorance but I wasn't all that sure if it was a short shifter or not, thanks for clarifying! Even better :)

I felt the same as this was my first year. I didn't know what to send so I tried to just have fun with it, I don't think there's any rules.

As far back as I can remember, there has been a batch of "Aunt Blanche's eggnog" at Christmas. I never met Aunt Blanche but over the years I learned to either stay away from her eggnog completely or just drink a small mug or two. I don't know what happened this Christmas eve but me, my cousin Charlie and my cousin Rob were hurting on Christmas morning.
