kojo96 wrote:just received my set, and they look good. Looks like they will do a good job of sealing the tail lights to the body, the material looks to be much better than the OEM seals, which I just replaced recently and the OEM seals still let water in!!!
Thanks for the feedback! The material feels more sturdy to me over the OEM stuff, but still plenty of give for proper contour. Plus it's just a hair wider for extra coverage (just under 10%) but not noticeable once installed. I still need to see if there's a desire for the vent seals. If so, I was planning to offer 2 seals along with the grommets; shipped for around $30. I still have to get some made and see how they work out. Look out for a post about them in the future.

It really depends on the design whether or not it can be made easily enough. I don't see a part number on realoem. Do you have one?

I'm down to my last 5 pair of tail light gaskets which have already been spoken for and just awaiting payment before shipping. I'm will go ahead and make a second batch of 25 pair in hopes that there are that many people that still would want some; I should have them by Monday at the latest. If you do, please let me know as soon as possible via PM. Total for 1 set (2 seals) is $57.45 which includes shipping within the continental US.

Thanks,

Dave

That's funny, I looked up an '85 735i and it was omitted. I assume it would be the same seal correct?

Good question. Mine is a euro car, I'd forgotten the housing may be a bit different

Thank you! They did turn out pretty nice I think. Yep, I listed them in eBay. They're a little less on here though. Thanks for the kind comments!

Hm, you're the first person to ask that question. Let me think about it... Sure, why not? But that's where I draw the line LOL! The total would be $157.45. By the way, why you hoggin' all the M5s (ha ha)?
