MannyLove is a standup guy who bought a set of struts/shocks from me. He met me where and when he said he would accomodating my schedule and paid for the items in cash.
Matt Caulder sent the check he said he would for the speakers I sent him.
Lexingtom paid quickly for both items I sent him and and I have no complaints about any portion of the transaction.
Thanks to all of you for being forthright.
Andrew.

Spotted an ad on Roadfly for euro bumper pieces. I bought them, received them yesterday, and sent this message to Rodd Sidney (I have not yet heard a response from this seller):
+++++
Having removed the pieces from a very poorly packaged box (one of the longer
pieces had pierced through the side of the box; the tape on the top was
almost completely detached from the box, etc.), I must say, I am very
unimpressed with what you sent. If these pieces are "BRAND NEW BMW" ... then they're NOT BRAND NEW ENOUGH! The chrome surfaces of the top
sections of some of the pieces are marred and scratched. I tried polishing
them out with Mother's Chrome Polish--no go.
Obviously, these pieces WERE ONCE brand new, but have been stored for a
considerable period of time, given the degree of grime (hardly a "little
dust," as you indicated) that's collected on their surface. During that
period, they have been allowed to be scraped. I'm left with sub-par bumper
pieces that will not match the new dealer pieces that I have ordered.
Needless to say, you won't be getting any more business from me. Neither
will you get a good recommendation. And I'm left with the unhappy prospect
of having to rechrome "new" bumper pieces or to dump them at a loss on ebay.

535IStyle5s (in Dallas, TX) is, in my experience, someone who should be avoided. We had a deal, confirmed by email and verbally that he backed out on at the last second, and nearly two weeks later has yet to return my $3500 check. Watch out !

Make your own decision.....

How about we use Heatware?
Or try to use something like Beerology? its a dedicated site from a tech site I visit called ArsTechnica.com for the Trader forum.
Heatware is an indedpendent ranking site for internet trading, I suggest you all get ID's ( I already have one from some previous trading) its quick and easy to use and better than eBay
Just my $.02

Lotus72D (is he still around?) - great guy to deal with, next day shipping? Very smooth transaction. Greatest thing is that those small bits were FREE! Thanks Keith!

Been buying alot from folks on the board lately--thanks to:
Rich in WI-- for the front struts and camber kit
Black Out-- for the 2-day shipping on the Springs
Teak --------The exhaust arrived safely, although the box looked like it lost a battle with a bush shredder! Great communication all the way
The Artisan-Seatcovers arrived--looking good sir! I'll post a review after I install them. The service Kevin provides is a needed one--his service is quick, communication is stellar, and his prices are very reasonable compared to others. The quality of the leather, stitching and batting is factory all the way.
Anyone know how to use hog-ring pliers?

Well. I have had the wonderful opportunity to talk to and meet so many people here. Its been an incredible time for sure.
Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!
But as they say, all good things must come to an end. The Parts Pimp is going into retirement in the very near future. This situation has a lot to do with our dealership (BMW OF CHATTANOOGA) getting a completely new building and location come Oct-Nov 'ish. I wont go into details on what I will be doing other than being a big help in our service dept. We will need it for sure.
In short, I will be signing off at the start of Sept. If'n ya need stuff for your ride, better get it soon.
Hopefully this will only be a TEMPORARY retirement plan from the Pimp title. We are already discussing ways in which to continue the services that are present. As of now, there arent any with me "movin on up!"(insert theme song from the Jeffersons) and taking on the tasks handed to me.
Dont worry about me disappearing from this here fine forum. I will stay an enthusiast and a friend to all folks I have come in contact with.
More updates, pics and useless posts to come from Pimp H.Q . soon. This is not an April 1st joke btw.
Thanks guys.

Brian,
Thank YOU for all your help.
In short, my friend, you're the best in the biz and I appreciate you going beyond the call of duty for me on at least one occassion with a parts return for my former e39. I wish you great success and happiness in your in your new position. Likewise for BMW of CHA in its new location.
Meanwhile, I need to put together my miscellaneous (small) parts list for the upcoming driveline swap project in my '87 535is and will be in touch soon...

WARNING!!!
Wayne Smith (wastas3@sbcglobal.net) in Indianapolis, IN has a fleet of old BMWs for sale. I purchased a M5 from him that he completely misrepresented! Do not buy a car from this clown unless you inspect the car yourself!

I would like to thank a couple of members with whom I've recently done business for used e28 driveline parts (Todd aka T_C_D) and audio gear (RoyW).
Roy and Todd, I sincerely appreciate your assistance with my parts and audio needs. It was a pleasure doing business with each of you.
Best regards,
Tim
