Re: Returning home
This is so sweet, it's a dream "car".
Re: Returning home
Thanks for the compliment... it is a pretty cool car I think I plan to bring it to Vintage at Saratoga in early October.

The prodigal son. Welcomed back after a few years in the wilderness. I bet you could tell some stories about selling and buying prices from when it left you to its return.
Re: Returning home
I'm not sure the market has changed that much in the past couple years for quality e28's, it's still relatively strong compared to 10 years ago. However, timing is everything, plus having the good fortune to have two or more potential buyers interested at the time of an auction is the key factor in the sell price from my experience. Modded cars add an additional complexity factor to the sell price... generally not a positive one. I've sold 5 cars on BaT over the years (4 were heavily modified), some have done well, others not so much... perhaps over a beer I can give you my "stories"?muleskinner wrote: Sep 16, 2021 6:30 AM The prodigal son. Anyway, glad to have this modified 535 back in my keeping

Re: Returning home
Very very nice!!
Re: Returning home
A couple weeks back I brought the Sepang car to the Saratoga Auto Museum's Spring Car Show in Saratoga Springs, NY. There were over 400 cars registered and much to my surprise it was recognized with a Judge's Choice award. Sorry, I neglected to take any pictures of the car in place or the overall show... just one from my chair sitting behind it and one when I got back home with the small trophy This show was cancelled the prior two years due to COVID... so it was nice to enjoy a beautiful day in the sun with thousands of car enthusiasts!

Re: Returning home
A deserved recognition. Congrats!
Re: Returning home
I recently added a couple of cool cosmetic parts to the '86 535ti. This guy in Kiev, Ukraine fabricates these... fabulous materials and quality. Very pleased and happy to help out a fellow car-guy in this war-torn country. May peace and safety come their way soon!
