Any interest? 3D printed lower B-pillar seatbelt plastic trim

Post by gwb72tii »

p/n 51431873249

This is the plastic trim piece that the seatbelt passes thru and is screwed to the lower B-pillar trim. Black and "flexible' but prone to cracking.

Mine are toast, nobody seems to have any to sell, and I've seen others here looking for them as well.

Looking for indications of interest before I head down this road and find a local 3-D printing company.

Cost for now is unknown, but assuming more is less per unit than printing only two for me.

post up if you want some.

Small but crucial piece of trim for anyone wanting to finish their interiors. I can imagine there would be quite the interest in one however price is always a concern.
The other main concern is it has to be every bit as flexible (if not more) as the OEM since you have to distort the hell out of it to get the clasp end through it (think Boa Constrictor swallowing a rat).

If it were made in two pieces, it wouldn't need to be flexible. I could probably machine some out of black Delrin on my CNC mill, but the price would probably be more than folks would want to pay. If I ever need any, I'd probably do it for myself.

I'm interested in a set. Mine are held together with epoxy at the moment.
