My car sits on 16x8 Racing Dynamics RGP wheels. I'm thinking of replacing them with something else, but I rather not go the BBS basket weave style of wheels, even though they look great on an e28.
Show me what you have, and better yet, what you might have for sale!
TIA

Beautiful car!
Re: Show me your 5 spoke 16" wheels
Almost any 5-spoke wheel style designed for the Porsche 911 looks amazing on the appropriate 911 (My favorite is the "Cup" because it reminds me of the 959). There are period-specific reasons to pair one wheel with one car; Some wheel styles have proven to be longer-lived than others.
To each their own, but I have never understood the fascination (or the impulse) to try to make 5-spoke wheels look good on E28s - I have yet to see one 5-spoke style that makes me think, "yeah, that looks amazing, and looks right at home".

No offense but I could make the same argument from the other side of the coin, why put on basketweaves when everyone has them? 'Ive lived with them (e30 318is) before and they are a complete pain in the ass to keep clean, so no thank you. This car will be driven daily, and up here in the great Pacific Northwest the weather is crap for half the year. Even if you have brake pads that throw off little dust, the environment will make them dirty in no time.

fair point... that's why I said "to each their own"......gwb72tii wrote: Nov 30, 2023 7:57 PM No offense but I could make the same argument from the other side of the coin, why put on basketweaves when everyone has them? Not sure if such a thing has been manufactured, perhaps - but I suspect that a 16x7 or 16x7.5 Corsa Steelies GT-100 would look amazing on an E28, and would be easy to maintain
