US Bumper Front Plate Filler
US Bumper Front Plate Filler
Any Interest in US Bumper Front Plate Filler?
I know there are / have been a few different ones made out there. I have one of the 3D printed ones and am a bit concerned about long term durability. Have not been able to find any others currently available.
I was thinking of making one for myself and thought I would see if there was interest if I made more.
Would be made of similar rubber to the bumper trim. Could do with BMW and or without.
To gear up for production, I would have a bit of up front cash outlay so it would be kinda good to know if there is interest.
Ohio recently eliminated front plates, so I assume other states will be doing away with them as well in the future and there are not many options that look good at all.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks..

Also try the interest of the E24 6 series owners, BigCoupe.com. I have the same BMW filler on the M5 and on the M6.
Thanks,
Roger

Thanks. Not any real interest here, so not sure it's worth the effort.RMP wrote: May 23, 2023 8:45 AM Also try the interest of the E24 6 series owners, BigCoupe.com. I have the same BMW filler on the M5 and on the M6.

Re: US Bumper Front Plate Filler
I’d be in for a couple assuming a reasonable price.
Re: US Bumper Front Plate Filler
I am reviving this tread because progress has been made.
I am going to list these for sale. Made from a similar rubber to the bumper strips. Held on by Emblem tape. They are flexible so not a stiff plastic piece.
Price will be $30 shipped to a US address Probably $10 - $20 shipping anywhere else.

Google makes it extremely difficult to insert an image hosted there, they even have right click disabled. I can usually figure it out, but not with google. Which is why most use https://imgur.com/ No registration and it just works.
But if you're going to post a link, just post the link don't add the extra stuff on the buttons above.

I ordered one of these from Etsy. It’s printed with hard plastic and mounts the factory style. It has BMW molded into it as well.
I like the fact that yours is rubber. Do you have any plans of adding the BMW letters on it?

Yeah, I have one of those. Not real crazy about the durability of it. That is why I am trying to do something different.Dimm6 wrote: Mar 01, 2024 3:29 PM I ordered one of these from Etsy. It’s printed with hard plastic and mounts the factory style. It has BMW molded into it as well.

Not making with the "BMW" at this time. Might add in the near future if there is enough interest.
I got the link to work now.
Thanks for the comment.

OK, that I can work with, the imgur link. Right click to get the image location, copy it, and paste it between the img text, ie the mountain/sun button.
