WTB: m20/528e Manual Swap kit

Post by mnnguy »

Looking for a complete or close to complete late model(aluminum shift rod) manual swap kit for my 528e, preferably in California.

I do have pedals already, but need basically everything else.

What year? 88 did not have the bell housing sensors. So if you have a 87 then the 88 tranny will not work unless you are also upgrading your motronic

I can run either as I have done the e2i conversion. Dont need the bell housing sensor holes since i have the crank sensor on the front of the motor.

I apologize for hijacking an old thread like this, but I'm new to this forum and I'm not able to PM people yet.

buddha, if you still have the M20 -> G265 bell housing, I'm looking for one (I just made a separate WTB thread)

I have the bell housing and 265 it has been under cover waiting for you for 20 yrs. Also a complete Motronic 1.1 Harness and ECU. It is from an '82 528e with less than 150kmiles. You will need the shifter. I may have the D shaft, and a 3.46 LSD available too.

Are you willing to separate the bell housing from the transmission? I need the bell housing to connect an m20 to a g265/5 close ratio.

I should be able to make it worth your while for just the bell housing. Plus I doubt you'll have trouble finding someone to buy the g265 without the bell, most folks should want the g265 for an m10/m30/s14/s38 anyway.

Edit: I would also be willing to make an offer on the whole transmission. It would just be more convenient if you're willing to unbolt the bell housing
