Will e39 rear seats fit into an e28?

Hi there, here in Australia black leather e28 interiors are rare as hens teeth, though I can get a really nice e39 black leather seat to match my recaros. Does anyone have any experience mounting e39 rear seats in an e28?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

E34 rear seats I've seen before, but even that was pretty shitty.

Just thinking out loud here...I wonder if you could take the e39 seat cover to a good auto upholstery shop and have it altered to fit on your e28 cushion.
