Since informations getting lost, I thought it might be a good idea to make a topic that sumirizes the build specs and infos needed to build an M30.
Please let me know if there's something that you consider important and I'll add it to the post!
I'll also update this post with more and more specs as my time will allow.

Main bearing radial clearance: 0.020- 0.046mm - Haynes

I would personally recommend to stay between 0.035 an 0.060 just based off my experience. 0.020 sounds REALLY tight; especially since most M30 users will use heavier oils (...W50)

Main bearing axial clearance: 0.085-0.174 mm - Haynes
CONNECTING RODS
Conrod bearing radial clearance: 0.020-0.055mm - Haynes

Cylinder head height: 129.0 +/- 0.1mm - 5er Reihe, Bentley
Cylinder head minimum height: 128.6mm - 5er Reihe
Cylinder head warpage limit: 0.1mm - 5er Reihe
(If you really need it, these heads will safeily go down to 128.3mm.)

Hi, great info for the records....I just suggest to add the M30 engine type, I mean, M30B34 or B35, etc....as far I know, types are B25, B28, B30, B34, B35 so they have different specs (example, Bore Diameter...)

They are, but clearances are likely the same. Torque settings are likely the same. I should do a scan too so we have the specs in Imperial measurements as that's what most of us here in the US use. Excellent data though.
The only differences in the build specs I've found so far are the piston dimensions and therefore piston-to-wall clearances (I will update with different pistons and bores soon), and the cylinder head bolt torque sequence.
Interestingly enough, the bolts are actually the same P/N, both pre and post 87: 11120621144
the HG does have multiple P/Ns , but bmw-fans.info states all of them for both the B34 and the B35: 11121716223, 11121730223, 11121730226
Essentially, the only thing that changed was the torque sequence. I'm not sure why they might have done this; but there must have been a reason. Due to this, I would recommend everyone to go the B35 route even on an older B28/B34 etc. unless the bolts manufacturer states otherwise.

These are of course much less in reality, as much of the torque gets lost due to friction.
However, in any case, they actually REDUCED the clamping force.
Maybe this has something to do with the blocks cracking? I think we all have seen a couple of those..
Elring also recommends the reduced method, for both the B34 and the B35:

It would be worthwhile to compare the numbers to what factory 5 series repair manual says (I have a copy but can't guarantee I'll have the time in the near future to do it, so if someone else who also has the manual wants to I won't object...
