ABS module service or rebuild question

Do members of this forum recommend service to or rebuild of the e28 Automatic Braking System Module? I have mine out of an e28 535is and would like to have it serviced while body and paint work is completed. Members who have used an ABS module rebuilder or service provider please share your thoughts and experiences on the value of having it done.

I rebuilt mine on the bench without any prior experience. There is a thread somewhere on here that I used with pictures and instructions but it's fairly straightforward. I found quite a bit of congealed gunk in my unit when I did it. Honestly not sure it made much of a difference though.
