e28 Member "pkbinplano" is parting out his parts car and I'd like to say that he is an honest trader, sells his parts for a fair price, and ships them quickly.
I purchased an ECU from him for very reasonable money and I even got a "bonus" in a spare Dinan (or copy) chip.

Like everyone else - thanks to Steve Haygood for parts. He's the man.

On a sadder note:
Be careful when dealing with "Magicandmischief182"

I purchased some H1/H4 headlight housings from him and when they arrived I found them to be significantly different from what was represented to me through email and the telephone.

Update: Jeff (Magicandmischief182) has stepped up and taken care of this misunderstanding. I retract my earlier statements and would like to say that Jeff is an honorable young man who will, in fact, stand behind his wares.

FWIW. I bought a part from "magic and mischief" and it arrived quickly and appears to be as represented. I have not yet installed the chip to confirm that it works properly, but I have no reason to suspect that it will.not. It was packaged securely in a proper eprom box and mailed in a padded envelope. It has an authentic looking D'Sylva label on it.

I also bought parts form "magic and mischief" and he sent them out fast enough, I understand how much trouble it is to part a car that you loved. BMP heat shield and short shifter.

I bought a 3.73 LS diff from e30 Racer, and it was shipped and packed perfectly, and performs flawlessly. Garrick is a fine seller, and I would buy from him again!

I have purchased parts form "magic and mischief" as well, they were used parts, and i did not expect them to be "new", they were packaged perfectly and sent in a timely fashion, his price was more than fair.

headlights are some of the first pieces that rust accumulates on in areas that can hinder adjustment. if you were looking for a perfect set
The center reflectors were loose (jiggle with any movement) and create a "flickering" light effect which is guaranteed to get one pulled over. The retainer rings were bent-up pieces of crap that no self-respecting e28 owner would put on his car
you should have been very specific and definitely requested pictures.

i will definitely be buying from magic and mischief again if he has a part i need.

There are many but I must mention Steve Haygood 1st. I work near his Houston supplier so I've gotten parts within 15 minutes and have bought too many parts to list, but it's always smooth sailing.
I am also grateful to: Ty, MarkM5, Robin, Chacka, IceHaus, TCD, Duke, David Harrison, Autobahn(Sean), Terrible Tony
I have been very fortunate. Kudos to you guys & apologies to those I may have left out.

It takes a lot for me to post publicly about someone.

All I can say is that, regarding Steve Haygood:

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT

Horrible follow up, six or seven weeks for simple items, lost my address 3 times, not sure which parts I ordered, after clarifying several times. Very rushed.

Not one hint of sympathy or an apology.

Not impressed at all.

Will continue to use Maximillian's 800 950 2002 or BMA 818 240 1224

Board member Geerhed is an honest trader. I purchased his Bentley manual, it was in better shape than advertised, and was shipped promptly. He even shipped it prior to receiving my check.

Now only if he would come to his senses and get another e28 . . . . :D

Hey, I bought some parts from Johnny Rocco. Fair price for good parts. We used PayPal; something about the way I used caused us to have to wait for the funds to clear, so it took a several days + we did this over the holidays. The parts arrived well packed and in good condition.

Guys if your looking for some rare euro parts, look no further.

Thomas Rücker @ http://www.e28-teile.de

email: tom@e28-teile.de for parts request.

I bought a as he called it "Standard flywheel" for a 524td. Seems to be the dual mass or "large mass" to me. Anyhow, flywheel is in excellent condition, with minimal wear on the ring gear. Surface is perfect, no hint of hot spotting. Even came with washer ring and bolts! Shipping was fast too!

$95 for the flywheel
$55 to ship

ChefShawn - NICE PICTURE!

I tried an 8mm wire set from BavAuto only because I needed a new set and thought "What the heck, it won't give me colder spark, if anything, it may only burn a tad better." Well, they stuff 8mm wires into the same housing that the 7mm wires are sold in, so when the #6 wire didn't reach the plug, I had to redo everything because the wires are too tight. (and you know a good chunk of the cost is in the labor putting it all together). Then I noticed that it doesn't have clips in the plug connection, it just slides over the threaded plug post - AND LOOSELY! Also, the boots are very flimsy and a very big PITA to get on. I was going to try dielectric grease, but I know that can make it even more difficult because it traps air in making the boot pop back off so I didn't try. Needless to say, I eventually got them on but called BavAuto the next day to convey my frustration. They offered to send out the stock set, pay for shipping, and credit me the other set after they received it - even though I had used it. Great service, but bad product IMO.

Questionable transaction forced to a PayPal refund with Robbie:

I paid $115 for SAAB moonroof parts through paypal... I paid on the 18th and went until the 26th without hearing any response after payment... I emailed him a few times with no response.. I didn't even know if he actually got the money, even though it was taken out of my account.. I checked his profile before purchasing and saw that he had 39 posts and is a member who transferred from the old board.. made me think that he is not somebody trying to scam anyone. I finally received a phone call from the guy and he left a voicemail message telling me that the roof is no longer a top priority since he is now waiting for a liver transplant. He claimed to be in a life or death situation and hoped I would understand. I felt bad for the guys situation but still sent an email back asking if it'd be better to complete the transaction at a later date. I said that if he agrees to that, to paypal me back the money. I waited a few more days with no response at all which left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I was forced to take up the issue with PayPal. I just received a notice letting me know that they are working in my favor and that the money is returned to my account.. I hope that Robbie is alright and recovering if all of what he claims were true. Seeing that I was not warned before my payment that he was ill and didn't receive any responses after the transaction really worried me.. I really hate to think that this transaction was a scam to play on my sympathy, but seeing that I still have not heard from him causes me to question his honesty. I want to leave this warning for others before making a transaction with Robbie. If I find out that the medical claims are true, than I will fix this post with the updated info..

Links to threads of my purchase: http://mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=27996&highlight= and http://mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=27583&highlight=

Does anybody else have these parts for sale?!?! I still need them!

Edit: My deepest condolences go out to Robbie and his family, as I just read a thread speaking about his passing away recently.. Please disregard this post as I just learned that all claims made by him were true. I just happened to make a transaction at a poor time..

I bought a cassette deck (not a car one) from RoyW - great guy. It hadn't been used in years and needed an overhaul - he paid for the parts!

Steve Haygood is amazing - correct parts received quickly - nice guy to talk to also.

skip535i sent me a dashmat and had me pay after receipt. Everything came out nicely there.

Kyle in NO sent Euro Grilles - just as advertised and well packaged - thank God, since the box was destroyed.

Tammer is a great guy to deal with despite the troubles he had getting the parts from the car, then as luck would have it, the one part I buy is the one he didn't pull, so it was screwed up.

Sherman Martinez (vviking) sold me what he was advertising, although I was confused as to what that was (apparently horn pad differs from horn button).

Thanks guys!

If I'd gotten the heater solenoid valve any faster, I would have suspected he used Fed Ex overnight!
