I have been a member of this site for almost a year now and have been meaning to post my pic, but I wrecked my first '88 528e before I got a chance to snap any pics with me in them. Now that I have my second '88 528e (in much nicer condition) up and running, I made sure to get a picture before anything happens to it.
....And for those interested, here is a pic of the carnage that is my first E28 and a pic of where it now rest as my parts car.

mullet madness!
Hey guys, here you can see me as a teenager w/ a mullet. My father was a grey market importer so you can see where my car addiction came from! My friends back then said I was lucky to have these "toys" around growing up. Hhhhmmm? The car next to the Countach was probably the first AMG 500 SEC in the country. (Pre- Mercedes marriage) This car was a pain to federalize and cost my dad lots of $$ to finally get DOT approved. Sly Stallone apparently bought it at some point. He kept the Countach for a few years and yes I did get to drive it a few times.

Wow, so you were hooked before you were born! You must've had an awesome time growing up being able to physically touch the dream vehicles of most youths, my elementary days. That is a great picture of you with the Countach. Did you dad ever import the Lambo LM-002? I am looking to buy an Americana LM-002 when I get older and with a steady job, those are some amazing vehicles....plus I love your M5.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, back in the day the LM was actually called a Lambo Cheetah. He sold two red ones. That thing was so awesome! Imagine an SUV with a machine turret (?) built in the back and 6 weber sidedrafts feeding 12 cylinders. It was insane. I think it stopped traffic more than the Countach! I'll see if I can dig up some pics of it.MShimon wrote:Wow, so you were hooked before you were born! I don't know why I haven't posted any pictures of my 535i until now, but here goes. This is the only one I could find with me in it. It has some quirks (along with some dents not caused by me) but she is still a sweetheart! I want some euro bumpers, BBS wheels (style 5 or maybe 17's from a e39 540i) and newer suspension.
Kind of a dumb hat, I know

Hi from Finnland
I found just recently this website and since e28's are close to my heart I decided to register. I am former editor-in-chief of BMW Club Finland's club magazine called "Bemaristi". Our club's website is www.bmwclub.fi (forum is only for members... sorry, not my fault). As a daily driver I have a 1986 518i. Somewhere during the 1990's it has got a heart transplant and runs now as 524tdA. The car is "Bavaria"-edition (I'm not sure if it was available only in Finland). Optional extras for Bavaria were mechanical sunroof, shadowline package, power-steering, sports-steering wheel, leather gear-knob, green-tintetd windows and few smaller details. Bavaria-edition was only available in delfin-metallic or diamantschwartz-metallic.
The e28 serves as a daily driver, but as a hobby I have collected as much optional extras as I could... Still collecting So far I have managed to find: brown-tinted windows, ac, power windows, electric glass-sunroof, 3.45:1 LSD from 528i, large toolbox, M-technic bodykit, BBS RS wheels (8,5"x17"), cruise control, detachable trailer-hitch, automatic antenna, leather sports seats with heating (I'll post few pictures somewhere) and some minor details. I'm still trying to find US-spec headlights (which are quite rare here) and many more extras.
Under the hood I have done some minor mod's. Slightly ported cylinderhead, modified stock turbo, air-to-water intercooler, modified injection pump. Modifications were made to improve power and mileage. With light gas-foot it runs 40 MPG (when my wife drives...). Mileage is quite important issue here in Finland, since diesel costs about 6.87 USD per Gallon (1.23eur/litre).
That was a short story of me and my ride, hope you understood my english I'll be watching this site from now on. And here's few old pictures (couln't find better image of myself... or wouldn't)
Best regards: Vesa from Finnland

Always nice to get another member from across the pond. Nice looking ride you got there. As far as finding U.S.-spec headlights, we have the same problem finding Euro-spec over here. I'm sure any member on this forum would be willing to trade headlights with you, including myself.

Yeah its an 325is air dam. I didnt put it on, the guy before did... with shit bondo and fiberglassing, looked like crap on the sides (it didnt match up with the front wheel arc). I sold it for $20. But yeah that's what appealed to me on the car too!
