Could ya'll focus the cursor to the ID field on the login page?
It's a small gripe but it gets annoying that it doesn't start there when you go to log in.
thanks,

I'm thinking that this might be specific to your configuration of your browser/settings, etc. I just checked this on my Mac and PC and it was sharp using Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera.
Hope that helps in some way.

Haha you guys are funny.
He wants to be able to type in the "username" field without having to click on it first when logging in.
It's a pretty specific request and I've also been secretly hoping it would happen sometime...

... 'cause we're psychic?
Sorry, DJ, but that request is some weak sauce!

Something like this in javascript:
<form ... name="myform">
<input name="myfield" ...>
...
</form>
<script type="text/javascript">
document.myform.myfield.focus();
</script>
It just saves a click to move the cursor over to the username field, but it's an easy to fix detail and expected on a professional site.
I know Shawn, I know.
Like I said, it's a minor gripe, kinda like a catching your toes on the underdash panel when all you need to do is slide it into the clip on the firewall.

Muwahaha. MyE28.com a professional site?
OK, I'll make an honest effort to look into the issue.

I think it does it already for me with Firefox, but I can't remember because I just have it sign in automatically whenever I visit the site. That saves like 3 clicks!

This should have no affect. The login status is stored by cookie so the particular page you bookmark makes no difference.

Well, whatever it is that I did, it works every time. I still do not remember the last time I actually manually logged in. I hit my bookmark and the Forum Index is there.

I knew most wouldn't have a clue what I was talking about as it's such a minor issue and I really appreciate the time and effort.
