searching for posts by me

Post by tsmall07 »

Sometimes I want to find a post I made that may have not been recent. The only way I know of to find all the posts by me is to go on my profile page and click on the link to them. Is there any way someone can change a setting so that these posts show up chronologically instead of by which thread has the most recent response? It's currently nearly impossible to find an old post if you don't remember exact words you said or words in the thread.

How? I just searched for just my name in the author box and it still showed the posts by which one had the most recent response.

Do you know what the specific thread was about or one or two words you would have mentioned?

Simply type those into the search query, then tsmall07 in the author. You can have the results displayed in thread view or in post view.

No, that's the point. I'm not looking for a particular thread right now, but it has happened in the past.

Over a month later, fyi you can click your own name in any post and view your profile, then click the 'Find all posts by' and I'm pretty sure it goes by chronology of your own posts rather than that of responses.
