Very nice! Did those come out of a VW? They aren't quite the same shape as any of my Recaros. They look awesome!

They look like late E24 Recaros to me, what with the high thigh bolsters and all.

The kidney bolsters look quite a bit fatter than my E24 Recaros and the head rests are totally different. Otherwise they look pretty similar...

Look closer. The outer portion of the backrest wraps around on his (which is a common trait on a lot of old Recaros) whereas yours are cut out for the headrests.

They came out of an e24. This is a pic of the label on the driver's seat base plate.

But it looks to be a Recaro adaptor mounted to a set of Flofit seats :? I paid $200 for them, so I don't feel too bad.

I used the power bases from my comfort seats which puts me up a little higher than I'd like. Do manual bases have a lower "profile" ?? At 6'2" I feel too high.
The pass seat had some funky frame that looked homemade... and did NOT have the base plates that the driver side seat had. I actually had to use the base that came on the seat and bolted THAT to the power base to mount it in the car. It makes the pass seat sit about 1.5" higher than the driver seat.

Any info is great. Keep it coming!!

Use the recaro adapter from an e21/e24. The adapter would bolt on the seat base. Mount the seats with the adapter on a manual seat base found in the 533 and early 733. The manual seat base would have a lower profile.

Where can I get the adaptors?? I'll keep my eyes open for the manual bases.

The adaptors show up on ebay once in a while. A flat bar would work too. Use your current adaptor as a template for the holes.

Flat stock might be the route that I'll take. Thanks!
