There is someone on my college forums that just got a brand new shop w/ his padre. Complete with LOTS of metalworking machines. I jokingly asked him about lightened flywheels and he seriously replied asking if I could supply him with one.
Anyway want to maybe talk to this guy and possibly donate an extra flywheel to him? It's a stretch, but it would be neat to have a cheap source for lightened flywheels.

He'd have to know to remove the locating dowels, which side to turn to true the clutch surface, where to do the lightening, and then he'd have to be equipped to balance the machined flywheel. This latter is usually the deal killer.
