Gripe with Search Function

Post by Beemer »

Why is it that when on the first page of search results, every time I hit the back button after reading a post I get an error page. But when on pages 2 and beyond the back button takes me from a post back to the page with all the postings...as it should without errors. Anyone else experience this?

Does the message have something to do with resubmitting data?

Are you talking about the google search? or the built in forum search?

Both are working fine for me, but I'm in firefox on linux, I don't have a windows computer here to test in, but I've never had an issue.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have no idea what your question is.

If I understand this correctly, he's saying that if he does a search, say on "steering wheel shimmy" or similar and he gets several pages of topics, if he clicks on one to see if it's what he's looking for, and wants to back to the results, he gets an error message. Once he passes the first two pages of results, it's a non-issue.

I have not had the issue myself.

It's most likely a browser problem, not a forum software problem.

What browser are you using?

ditto what everyone else said. You just have to open up a new tab. Otherwise, it's Refresh, retry. Over and over again.
