Would like it more with a full shadowline, regular euro turn and fog lights, getting rid of the side moldings, and finishing the sides, front fenders/valance to match the rear.
future upgrade will include Full Euro conversion with lights, wipers, grills, and lower valance...i had not acquired these items at the time of the build...sometimes you have to work with what you got & move on...
ixnay on the shadowline. i like the classic polished bits.
in regards to the front valance showing the mounting bolts...this was necessary unless i was going to WELD the valance to the fenders, and , as i stated this one will be coming off to make room for the Euro valance. We considered a several molding strip options, but they looked terrible

Hmm.... if you don't have anything nice to say..... don't say anything at all I guess....

No, really, it's not that bad. I love the wheels, stance, and exterior color. Not a fan of the bumperless treatment. I think something novel with some slimmer euro bumpers (is that even possible? Who knows, try it!) would have been an interesting route. And I've liked the black euro bumper treatment like some have done (RoyW I think on his track M5).

I'm supprised no one else has mentioned Matts Kinnby's Police car that is running with just modified bumper strips, IMHO this would really finish off your car well.

THESE are the strips i had in mind & we (Strictly German) where unable to locate !
I have no regrets with the way the car turned out, but would definetly consider this exact strip...the stuff is not that expensive.
btw...thanks for bringing that up !

I believe in his writeup, Matts explained how he did this. I'm sure you could ask him too.

I like this car. I really do. It's like the ba*d beaver of e28's. This car is straight from Hell and is ready to f*ck things up. Atleast it looks as such, anyway.

I do think a full shadowline are an order, and even experiment with black kidney treatment. On the inside, I would add iS seats, a smaller steering wheel, and aftermarket gauges on the passenger side dash! :alright:

Overall, I like it. Very different.

I like it. A lot. So much so, I took about 8 pictures of it when at Caffeine & Octane. For me, it would just need something to continue the look of the trim. Good luck with the progression!

I love everything about it except the rear. IMO it needs something to break up the big flat gray space. Maybe just a strip would do it. Glad to see you doing your own thing though, I even contemplated removing the front bumper like you have. Keep it up.

LOVE IT

Think it looks super clean, reminds me of a Bav.
I do agree that regular euro turns would clean up the front, and some kind of strip around the rear would break up the line nicely.
Maybe even reduce the size of the body side moldings to complete the clean look, see what bkbimmer did with the body colored steel moldings he made...they were super clean.

Overall I love it that something clean and clever has been done, while keeping its 'car-ness' intact.

What size are those wheels? 17" or 18". I have the same ones on my car. Your car is unique in a good way.

Pictures don't do it justice. It reminds me of modified 2000c/cs's.

Looks very clean, but should have hidden the hardware on the sides of the front valance for a cleaner look!

Nice job though!

thanks Brent...if your car had a/c...I'd be driving an E12 !
we tried several molding strips and nothing worked...obviously did not try everything that may be available, but after several attempts over a 2 week period, it was time to move on !
as is the case with everyone's car on this forum...it is going to be a work in progress, and future upgrades will be fun !

Matt just used the euro bumper trim glued or clipped to the body.

I applaud the craftsmanship but fail to see anything noteworthy beyond the bumper delete. The remaining car looks ho-hum.

Better handling just from removing the bumpers? I assume you were running US-spec? Anything is better than those park benches.
