Hey guys,

Hopefully you'll be able to send your boxes out by tomorrow, but if by chance you have already received your box post up pictures and descriptions so we all can see! Maybe we'll get some more participants the next time around!

Mine will go out Monday or Tuesday. I've got to go into work early today and leave for 5er West ASAP tomorrow. Still not sure what all to put in it, but I do have plenty to choose from.

Are you taking I5 north? We may bump into each other, as I'm in Southern Oregon. Keep a look out!

I am, but you'll probably be ahead of me. I don't get home from work until about 1:30 AM these days, and I'm not a morning person by nature, so getting out at the crack of dawn is more like 10 AM. :(

Well I work for AutoTrader.com and some of my dealers are dotted along I5 so I'll be playing hop-scotch on my way north. If I see ya, I see ya!

So here's the big box full of random stuff I unpacked today!

Image
Some nice stuff in there, like...

The BMW magazine, with features on some hot e32s and a couple of e28s...
Image

A nice ratcheting wrench...
Image

A very nice combination clock/pill dispenser! (I think)
Image

A laser detector (never knew I needed one of them), a digital watch that my 16 year old son already claimed...
Image

A nice set of real darts (we don't need no stinkin' safety tips!), a multimeter, a fistful of Cyalume sticks, a nice pen in a box, some GI bug repellent...
Image

A nice GI pocket knife and a brand-spankin' new BMW lug bolt!
Image

Pretty random, but thanks, Duke! This was just like Christmas!

It'll be late. It's like I have to spend all my free time getting ready for some car show or something.

That laser detector was used in pairs on the AH-64 Apache. We would mount one on the left and right canopy. This is before the built in system was installed years ago. Use it in your car; it will be the ticket notification device.

I bet the Army paid ~$3000 for that baby.

Look closer; there is a new set of ODO gears there too.

Don't you mean WE paid $3000 for that baby? Our tax dollars hard at work!

Yes, found that after I posted last night. In the same baggie with some chrome Hartge valve caps!

Image

(Dave then heads for the Parts For Sale section... mumbling something about purchasing a set of Hartge wheels to go with said valve caps... hoping to fund the purchase in part by selling his the original instrument cluster from his 528 after refurbishing with said ODO gears...)

I had heard about that game but never bothered with it. May have to dust off an old teardrop iMac running OS 8 or 9 to play a little. :D
