Well I got mine yesterday and I finally got mine off today, finally. I'll blame it partly on 5er West, it kind of chewed up last weekend. ;)

Here's what I got. Not quite as much as some. Oh well, a cool bag for the wife.

I guess I'm still kind of new to the board because im not sure whats going on in here.

So, you guys fill a box full of random stuff and send it to another board member? Is that pretty much the gist of it?

I suck at life, and work is sucking the life out of me. Mine goes out tomorrow. Maybe I'll have pics of my received goods later!

I'm not really sure who my box was from exactly, there was a picture and other things but I couldn't conclude what their user name is. Anyway, thank you very much for the stuff you sent me.

Here is a pic of everything:(The hat, shorts, and shirt were mine before haha.)
Image
Heres a list of some notable stuff:

3D glasses (I've wanted a pair of these!)
Wooden box made from maple and walnut. Very nice!
Lots of sweet stickers (including mye28!)
Handmade light switch cover (Im definately installing this in my house)
A push button light (like the ones from the info-mercials, Ive also always wanted one of these)
Karma Checks
A frisbee
A video game that looks similar to MYST, which I liked a lot
A Hot plate
Some jelly (I love jelly)

Here is the box. All the wooden things, I believe, are handmade. That is awesome!
Image

3D glasses, stickers, hot plate, 64 MB of RAM (enough to run windows 98), a shopping list!?, etc.

Lets do this again! I want to be more creative with my box next time.

I sent that stuff to ya, Roberto. I made the wood stuff, leftovers from the early days of my woodworking business. THe curly maple in the box came out of my firewood pile. Family not a pic of me. Whatchya gonna do with the lye? You could cook up some meth.

There was all kinds of sweet stuff in here. I was kinda scared to open it as excited as I was to get it. This is gonna take a min and I don't know where to start.

A Cymbalta magnet clip for my anxiety
You had to be there mark and brian CDs??
Sweet climbing carabiner heavy duty
Nearly full roll of teflon tape
Motivational calendar for 2010
GI*Joe arctic operations specialist in package, Rockin
A halloween strobe and noise maker thing.. Hard to explain but me and my old man got a kick out of it.
Black BMW box? Maybe an amp or something
Three cents, I'm rich
Print offs of shifter diagrams
Mis. bolts and nuts
One standard 1156 GE replacement bulb
Two 18mm spark plug non fouler fittings (never seen these)
Knock 'em Dead, With Great Answers to Tough Interview Questions - Book

Haha at first I thought the lye was a multivitamin from the looks of the bottle.

I was really surprised to see that picture and the Christmas cards, I did have a feeling that wasn't the person who sent me all the stuff. Are those just random cards and pics you had?

Sad story on the lesbian couple. They are/were friends of mine and last year they split up, BOTH were diagnosed with schizophrenic affective disorder. One is nowhere to be found and the other is in and out of the State hospital in Salem, the one where they filmed One Flew Over the Cuckcoo's Nest. Their kid is under the care of one of their mother's in CA.

My son was born a week after their kid was and they basically grew up together but I saw a horrible change in him. Defeated, all kinds of behavioral issues. Haven't seen him in over a year.

I guess that was a downer! Anyway, enjoy the resta the stuff!

That was from the first one I had. T-boned while delivering a table to a client. Table was ruined, I was rolled onto side, miraculously was unhurt. Lied to the insurance company and got almost twice what I was charging for the table. Rebuilt the table, got a new van as referenced in my sig, and had $ left over for new tires on the IS.

Wow that stinks, best of luck to them.

Thanks for the Astro Van thing too. Is that from the one in your sig?

I sent my box off on the 5th, but I think it was after the cutoff time so it probably left the office on monday. Either way it should still be there and if it is not I can probably whip together another, it would just make me a little sad that those items are forever lost in transit.

Mr. Landspeed, I think I got your box. Did you send the Jay Leno book, M valve caps, BMW flashlight, main relay, some candies, etc? I regretfully didn't photograph the contents before my kids made off with a bunch of odds and ends. Thank you though!

Remember we met in Portland at the Saturday Market?

Yes, I remember quite well. Glad you got the box, too bad about the kids stealing all your stuff though.

Try to put up a list though, I can't remember what I put in there.

I'm from Midwest stock; being the first to receive a box, I would be suffering from severe guilt anxiety if I hadn't sent one out. It went out on June 4, so it should be there by now.

If for some reason it didn't make it, it's somehow my fault anyway. Here comes the guilt.

Okay, checking in... I have sent PMs to members who I know haven't sent boxes yet. Anybody else I don't know about?? Let's wrap this thing up so we can start thinking about the next one later this year (holidays?)

You're certainly welcome! Those Playboys are awesome to look through, I scored a ton of them at a garage sale last year.

As for the shot glass:

"Sounds broken"

"Most likely sir, I bet it was something nice though" lol
