New Air Dam
Thanks to several people here:
Eric Q for selling and hauling it to me at 5erFest (2K miles!!) Mr. Kohler for his widsom and advice to buy it, Josh in Atlanta for his input and support, Tim in N FL for letting me obsess over it.
I know it needs Euro bumpers, and screens on the brake ducts and intercooler/ oil cooler opening (aka fog light openings). I'll get to that.
Also Paint Scratch did another perfect match.

Somehow I missed this, but it was brought to my attention yesterday evening so I thought I would come in and post. Definitely looks good... was hard for me to let it go when I scrapped my E28, but glad it has finally found a good home (3 owners later!).
Here is a shot of it on my Euro 535i. This was the weekend I got my E12 back in the summer of 2007.

It's because they are not available. Keep your eyes out around here and you might come across one... they pop up every now and then. I also found one on the local Craigslist a few years back.Sam 84, 533i wrote:Could you send me a link to where i can find that airdam? I'm not able to find it

Chris Kohler simply verified the quality of the BBS air dam and filled me in on the rarity of the brakes ducts still being attached due to nose draggin'. He also spoke for the reliablity of the then current seller and the previous sellers. When Chris makes recommendation I pay strict attention.mooseheadm5 wrote:Wait, hold up. Kohler suggested that you buy a late BBS air dam?
Chris Kohler?
And as you remember the Zenders are hard to find, the BBS was a great alternate (To me anyway) .

On the very bottom of the North American is air dam there are the smaller slots (on the air dam)do they have cooling capabilities for the brake rotors? Does that make sense now?swatterssr wrote:I looked at that yesterday, and I too thought, "Wat!"mooseheadm5 wrote:Wat!Alfonso Bedoya wrote:Quick question on air dams I have the is air dam the N.A. version are the smaller ducts on the very bottom also lined up for brake rotor cooling?
