Rear fenders have been cut/rolled so take the rear fitments with a grain of salt, more to showcase ride height.

Stock or Mtech Springs? Not 100% sure. Wheels were 16x7 et32 (15mm spacer original offset 47) 205/55/16s? Again not sure. Would not clear without the spacer, not that anyone would ever want to run them Anyway, came on the car.

Ride Quality: Boat

Image

Suspension Techniques with Style 5's 17x8 et5 (15mm spacer) all around with a 225/40/17 front and a 235/40/17 rear

Ride Quality: Decent, spring rates could have been a tad higher

Image

Image

Spax Springs with 16x8 BBS RS 211's et -4 (15mm spacer originally et11) with a 205/55/16, don't have any great pictures of this setup. The Spax give the car a good amount of rake compared to the other springs.

Ride Quality: I am very happy with them, rates feel good, and are not harsh overall

Image

FDDS Springs (Custom-order, made with extensive application of a cutoff wheel)

Ride Quality: Leaves a whole lot to be desired.

RS211's again 15mm front spacer removed.

Image

AMG by OZ Benz wheels 17x8.5 et 18 (et3 after the 15mm spacer up front) and 17x10 et20 forget the tire sizes, 215/40 up front, and 225/40 out back I believe?

Image

ACS Type 1 Racing 17x9 et6 and 17x10 et17 once again I believe 215/40 and 225/40?

Image

Felt like doing a bit of whoring, sorry for the long post, maybe can help someone though?

Moose, do you have more pictures of your spax setup?

GC coilovers, unknown red springs.

Same thing but with 4" hypercoil springs. Coils adjusted as high as it will go in the front.

Is it just me, or does Brad's Spax setup look lower than Moose's?
Brad D. wrote:Spax springs with Bilstein sports. Has ST 25/19 sways. Wheels are 17x8.5+13F/17x10+19R with 235/40/17 / 255/40/17 tires. Ride quality is quite firm but very streetable. It's a comfy DD that handles quite well, you just have to drive it carefully and remember that it's low.

Took some shots for you, excuse the filthy car, it is cold and I am lazy. Wanna trade suspension ;)

It is, I assume he has his bilstein sports on a lower rear setting, don't know if the front is any lower. I have a yellow shock out back that came on the car (Mtech?) that is not adjustable.

EDIT: Also his car is an M30 turbo (I think?) with diving boards, vs my M20 Euro Bumpered car, so that will cause his front to sit a bit lower.

D Unit asked what I was thinking. Looks great! One ride in my car and you'll definitely be praising the spax setup. I need to do some shocks overhauling and revalving. If I ever go back to springs, spax is definitely top on my list.

1.5 coils cut up front on unknown lowering springs. 2 coils cut rear on stock springs w/blown shocks. Tires are too tall, I know. New ones coming in Spring.

Summer is going to bring some Bilstein Sports w/Spax. Also have some adjustible sways waiting on me to get some new brackets & bushings. Before then I'll probably cut another coil just for shits and giggles. I do have a spare oil pan.

I drove Mikes 6 from Tennesse to Chicago on your coilovers haha. It was a bit harsh but I still would definitely want them. Playing with the valving a bit should help out.

Just curios, but where is everyone purchasing their Boge Turbo Gas shocks? Will I be okay with these and some Spax springs?

Rofl! I forgot about the 6er for a minute. Well, I don't know when the front koni's blew, must have been very shortly after we put the coilovers in mine...so those are done. I don't even know what shocks are now in the front, whatever Luci decided to throw in there, but it's pretty bad right now. The front is definitely more enjoyable than sitting in the rear, which you're probably aware of. I got airborne off the seat sitting in the back while Mike M. was driving on the freeway, from the bounce. That was pretty cool.

You might want to go back to the first post, where he says "and your thoughts on the ride quality"
Antiroll bars have a lot to do with ride quality, my friend.

anti roll bar doesnt effect ride quality. there for ANTI ROLL!!! as in around corners not straight roads or bumps. if you know how to set up roll bars and not bind them then you will not effect ride quailty.

if you want to know how to adjust them you need hiem end links and read up about it, other wise your awesome roll bars aint doing shit.

They do something regardless of whether you have the end links adjusted properly or not, but the rate changes.

They do have a small contribution to ride quality. Whenever you go over a bump with just one wheel the bar becomes active.

Actually, I meant it just as I wrote it, using "Their" would be incorrect.

But the car looks good no matter how you spell it.

Amen.

I just finished installing mine, and adjusted to the tight end, the ride DID get firmer, and softer when set to the loose side.

My $0.02
