Australia Complaining that mye28.com is unavailable
DRP535 sent an email through s38-m88 list that he and others in Aus. have not been able to access this site and are suffering severe withdrawl.
Any idea what's up?

Tell them to try accessing the site by IP.
MyE28 IP = 209.97.199.179
Just enter that as the URL into any web browser. If that works, then there's probably a DNS server somewhere going haywire. The problem should resolve itself eventually. Obviously, since the site works for all the rest of the us, it's most likely a problem somewhere between the server and Australia. Thus, it's not really something I can do anything about.

I've been on the phone to my internet service provider for the last week trying to solve the issue. I can access it on my iphone, but not on any of the computers connected to my network. They provided me with a temporary admin login for my home network while they do some tests, hence how I'm now accessing the website from my PC. It comes and goes at the best of times, so if members awaiting pm's and such don't receive replies as often, this is why!
It's apparently a HOSTS/DNS issue, whereas mye28.com is blocking incoming traffic from Australia due to ip clashes and some other technical bullshit that I don't understand. I'll keep you guys updated on whether my ISP can suss out the issue.

you know, I have not been able to access Mye28 thru my school's wireless net. I can safely assume I am the only one ever using this site at school, and it never loads. I can access all other sites i frequent no problem (even bimmerforums works), this has been going on since last week. I figure it's a good thing as it makes me think about school instead of e28's, but wtf mate? I'm not even down undah!

The people that cannot access the site should goto http://checkip.dyndns.org to get their outgoing IP. If I have the address I can look at things from this end.

I've had a long day.Justin_FL wrote:Obviously you aren't having problems posting
I need the ones of the afflicted that couldn't connect.
I have been having issues for months, i'm posting logged in to the temporary account I was given from my ISP. I'll log in to my regular Interwebs account which won't connect, and get you the I.P.
