Some recent shots of my Euro E28
Some recent shots of my Euro E28
Just some recent photos of my car for you guys. The ones in the trees by the lake were taken by me my first time out shooting, so don't judge them too hard, although I am pleased with them. The rest are taken by various photographers, mostly from the trip up to Maryland recently for H2O, which was a blast. The car made the 1800 mile round trip without issue For those unfamiliar the car is a Grey Market 1986 Euro 525e, and has a 1JZ-GTE swapped into it which came in the JDM Toyota Supra/Soarers. The wheels are HRE 501s, 17x10 all round and were hand refinished by yours truly. It is also my only car and daily driver
These few shots are by Kielan Prince , and this is possibly my favorite roller of the car to date
Rolling with Charlie's e21
The couple were by my dude Jeff (e34 Life) who rode up with me, which made the drive up much more bearable haha. He is also the one hanging out of the car in most of these photos getting rolling shots
That ended up being way more photos than I anticipated, but I did my best to cut it down to just the ones I liked from what I had seen posted, enjoy!

Appreaciated Guys!
It is a pretty straightforward swap, you do have to cut up a few things to run the intercooler piping, but that is really about it. Custom engine/trans mounts/custom driveshaft/exhaust/powersteering lines etc. Nothing too difficult but it does all add up. Had it in the car for 10,000 miles now and it has never given me any troublepstl_pete wrote:Can you tell us more about the 1J swap? Sounds like something I would consider doing.

That's the intercooler, but thank you!pants|works wrote:Fuckin' britchin bro!!! Love the massaging of the valance to fit the oil cooler. That black E21 is pretty damn awesome, too! Keep on keepin' on.
Never said it wouldn't, as Skip pointed out. If I do have to go full lock or close to it, it still can just fine. A little tire rubbing never hurt anyone, doesn't do anything. If you want to push it on a back road you still can without issue.Roberto wrote:I want to see a pic with the wheels at full lock, I can't believe they won't rub.

Obviously the tires rub. See the front flare pulled from the fender? They rub. The owner has chosen looks over function which is his prerogative. If you believe a 'sports car' with this stance has retained its function you are either mistaken or in denial. Anyone who has owned and driven a vehicle of similar characteristics can attest to the poor ride, loss in tractability, increased wear on components and a requirement to alter ones driving habits to avoid any obstacle for fear of grave damage. Truly, it sucks to 'roll hard'.
Sure it looks good, however to those who have progressed beyond their teens and twenties, obnoxious idiosyncrasies are less likely to take precedence over function.

^ I have no intelligent response or worthwhile input. (Just kidding )
Holy cow! It automatically changes "kewl story bro" to "I have no...blah blah" haha
Just curious, thanks for the response Moose.

Haha true! I was just looking at my clearance on stock suspension and was trying to figure what kind of magic went into getting moose's car so low and fitting those wheels in there. Obviously not magic, but probably trial and error and previous experience I guess.skip535i wrote:Did he claim that they don't rub? Car looks great, dude!

Thanks man!
Yeah it makes a noise at full lock, and I can't bomb over speedbumps anymore, car is ruined You still upset I have better taste than youMurfinator wrote:Obviously the tires rub. I'm actually still upset you haven't shaved those hideous federalization markers. Given the title of your thread I was hoping to see something new but was again disappointed.Moose wrote:Thanks man!

Still saving those pennies for air bags or did your parents stop paying your allowance? Keep 'rolling hard' boy.
