Moderators, Can we add another category??

I humbly suggest that an EVENT category be added. I have seen this work nicely for another " not to be named" forum. It keeps the event stuff all in one place.

First, we do not have moderators.

Second, that's what General Conversation is for.

I thought that would be a fantastic idea when we launched this iteration of MyE28.com. Unfortunately, hardly anybody used it. Nobody posted event threads there, and almost more importantly, nobody really looked at the forum much so events that WERE posted there didn't get much attention. I tried moving threads to that forum because that's where they were supposed to be, but people complained because they never looked there and thus never knew about the events.

After a while, the experiment was deemed a failure, the Events forum got deleted, and event threads went back to their usual location in General Conversation.

It's one of those situations where the idea makes perfect sense, but it just didn't work when implemented.

They are typically all stickied at the top of General Conversation so they're not hard to find and unlikely to get lost.
