The thing that stands out in this story is that the whole thing came to an end two blocks from the house we sold last year. The kid was arrested in the back yard of a friend of mine. Dang...
~Pursuit~

Last evening at 10 PM (Wednesday, May 25) Lincoln County Deputies assisted the Turner County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit that involved an attempted kidnapping in the Parker area. The pursuit entered Lincoln County on the west side of Lennox. Several Lincoln County Deputies, South Dakota Highway Patrol Troopers and a Lennox Police Officer joined the pursuit at this time.

A SDHP Trooper was able to successfully spike the vehicle as it entered Lincoln County. The driver refused to stop even after losing a front tire. LCSO Deputies and SDHP Troopers spiked the vehicle two more times during the pursuit, but the driver still refused to stop.

The vehicle entered the Sioux Falls city limits on Western Ave and continued northbound for several miles while driving on only one tire. Sioux Falls PD assisted by blocking intersections to help reduce traffic flow. The vehicle eventually became disabled at the intersection of 26th St and Western Ave in Sioux Falls. The driver fled the scene and several agencies pursued on foot. The driver was taken into custody a short time later in a backyard of a residence.

The driver was identified as a juvenile. His name is not being released at this time due to that. Two Lincoln County Deputies received injuries during the apprehension. One of the deputies was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The deputy was released a short time later.

Police in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, recently arrested two men in connection with an illegal heavy haul that resulted in property damage and a power outage.

At 3:30 a.m on May 22, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office (IPSO) responded to Berard Road in Loreauville for a report of an illegal transport of a house.

When officers arrived on scene, they found an abandoned truck, trailer and house blocking the 400 block of Berard Road.

“This has been an ongoing situation and the owner of the house, Tony Domingue (male, 46 years old) was instructed and warned by Sheriff Office Officials that proper permits needed to be acquired from Iberia Parish Government. Those instructions were ignored and during the move down Coteau Holmes Road many mailboxes, road signs and trees were damaged in the process. As well as, hitting power lines and polls causing 695 CLECO customers to be without power for several hours,” IPSO said.

Police located and arrested Domingue and Nico Comeaux, 32, on charges of Violation of Parish Ordinance, Obstruction of Highway Commerce, and Criminal Damage to Property.

Both men were booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on bond of $125,000 each.

IPSO says that additional charges are pending.

The story is strange enough, but the nose is really weird. I mean really.

A St. Paul resident has been on the receiving end of some unusual "gifts" lately: dozens of jars of grape jelly.

Police said a resident of the 400 block of Selby Avenue told officers they had recently received multiple deliveries from Walmart that consisted entirely of grape jelly, which they didn't order.

St. Paul Police Sgt. David McCabe tells Bring Me The News the resident has received around "50 jars of grape jelly."

The store reportedly told the recipient that the jelly was "purchased anonymously as a gift."

I should have vetted it better. I was skeptical because of the "CAMP PENDELTON, SAN DIEGO" for location. Camp Pendleton is 40 miles from SD.

EAGLE LAKE, Minn. -- A 36-year-old Eagle Lake woman faces multiple charges after allegedly hitting a man in the back of the head with "a whole chicken," according to a criminal complaint filed last week.

According to the city's police department, officers were dispatched to a home Wednesday evening after someone called 911 and said he was in need of assistance. Dispatchers heard loud yelling on the background.

When they arrived, officers attempted to arrest Natalie Elizabeth Bruemmer, who was staying at the residence but had a body-only warrant out of Brown County.

The victim, the complaint says, told officers that Bruemmer began hitting him and spitting in his face while he was driving home from the bar. And once they got home, she allegedly "hit him with a whole chicken in the back of his head." Officers noted that he "still had some chicken residue in his hair."

As officers attempted to arrest Bruemmer, she allegedly became aggressive and pulled her hands away when police attempted to handcuff her. She also allegedly kicked her legs around, the complaint says.

Records show Bruemmer has pending domestic assault charges from an earlier alleged assault of the same man.
