Do you have any tabbed brackets for the e28 in stock?
Previous owner welded a crack and today the weld gave out
Need to add this bracket to the new pedal box I just ordered

Do e23s suffer from this problem too? Is this something I should do when I do my manual swap?

Mine just came in the mail just 3 days after I ordered it. Beautiful piece of metal, and the full color instructions and bolts are a nice touch.
I did get the Rev5, so the opening post may need some updating.

hi guys. I have a 87" 535i, I looked underneath the steering wheel, and i feel so stupid, i have no idea what i am looking for, and i dont see any 'bracket' that looks like what OP is selling. I also did not see anything cracked, or broken. But if you watched the video below, that's the problem i am experiencing.. Extreme stiffness on the clutch, also the grinding sound. No leaks anywhere, so it shouldnt be Master Cylinder or Slave Cylinder problem. Any suggestion?

Yes sir. No problem seeing that one.
I had two previously that were faint lines as the crack stayed tight.
A third one opened up like yours.

about to order one right now
for your 3rd one, did you only need to use this bracket reinforcement and that was good enough? Or did you have to re-weld the cracked bracket or replace it?

Your crack is pretty bad.. I would re weld it or get a new pedal box. The bracket sold in this thread is more for prevention... although I guess you can put it on and see if it fixes your problem.

Is the part number 35111157728 correct for the bracket replacement? What's the best place to order one?

That # looks right. It's a dealer part, but places like BluntTech.com, ECSTuning.com, etc., can get it.

So after a few hours today in the afternoon, i finally finished installing the new bracket, the reinforcement, put everything back into place. Was all excited about to start the car to do a test drive, car wont start
The car has power, all the dashboard lights came on, but the car just wont crank up. No sound, nothing. It's behaving as if i m trying to starting the car without engaging the clutch (but i did obviously). I checked the little red button switch that's touching the clutch, when i press the clutch, the red button 'releases', so i guess thats normal right? But yet, the car just wont start.
What the hell??!! Any idea?

Is your car 535? .. on my 528 .. and I think 535 is same, does not require you engage the clutch to start the car. Secondly installing this should not have an effect on starting the car. Something else broke while the car sat or w.e imo.

yes, mine is a 535i.
if what you saying is true, then what is the red button/switch for near the clutch pedal?

Maybe a weak battery, or something in the area of the OBC control box got disconnected.
