Can't thank you enough for your kind and warm comment, perhaps you should schedule your time that we could hang out a little at RTT 2015 so we can get to know each other first!pants|works wrote:Cool car.

I'm glad you went to the dark side and got some coilovers. Driving your car pre-BC was an absolute blast, but I have a distinct memory of feeling like the rear was too bouncy. That is a purely subjective opinion. My "bouncy" is your "compliant". Yadayadayada.
Isn't it great to be able to play with all the settings?
(Hmmm, maybe I should try 10mm lower in the front... DONE!) etc.
Hope you are well, sorry I missed RTT this year, and I look forward to seeing you (and all the other. Canadians) again soon!

Sia, I don't know you, but in my opinion, this one car (although your collection is exceptional) is nothing short of being the top of the food chain for the E28! I'm surprised BMW hasn't reached out to you about this. It just goes to show whats possible with imagination, drive and of course, money. Well done, sir! I'm fortunate enough that I work in BMW service and have had the opportunity to drive some truly amazing cars but my heart lies with the old school BMW's which I think provide a much more visceral driving experience. I'm in the midst of my own E28 project but I had to say something about this one. One hell of a car!
I am truly honored, Thank You Gentlemen!Kronus wrote:this thread should be a sticky. what an epic car!]

You are 100% right, one of the reason I replace the old suspension was because of the bouncyness of rear sprins which was to weak for the power. That is elaminated now and the car just rides absolutely perfect. It is great set up and I recommend it for anyone who wants a fine and solid ride but still maintaining the street ride quality.
And yes, we missed you this year and I can tell you that the roads around Eurika Spring was absolutely wonderful to drive. Hope we see you next year to catch up and do some nice driving!

Eric, the whole package as you can see in picture page 8 came from BC coilovers as a package, which included front adjustable cambers and plates as well a solid plates for the back.ronin wrote:Just found your thread and I love the car. Very OEM look in the engine bay which is awesome.
I had a question about your suspension set up. What top mounts are you using for the struts, F&R?
Thanks and thanks for sharing,
Eric

What are the LEDs above the instrument cluster?B7Turbo wrote:Hi Cek,
I just saw your post. I'm happy to hear that you were able to gather required parts and know how.
I have incorporated the fly by wire throttle pedal and sport function switch from the same e46 M3.
Good luck,
Sia

By the way, I think I have cruise control figured out.
Anything you would do differently if you were to do it again?

That is a sticker that says "ABS". I didn't think Sia's 525i had ABS, but looks like the brake lines are there in the engine bay.cek wrote:Seen in this picture:
