I'm actually a fan of this look. I wonder if that rubber hand brake boot is available via Blunt. Anyone know the part #? Since I have E34 Sport seats, I don't have seat controls to worry about...

Test fitting some L6 stuff, everything is just thrown in place. Just need to make mounts, cut a bit out of the console so it goes deeper, make some panels to the sides and modify the parcel shelf. Real simple! Going to look good with M5 leather door panels and other bits, just need to re-dye it all in a nice colour. :)

Picked up an 84 533i originally for a parts car, and to make a long story short, I am now driving it to work. The car has a dark brown interior that is unlike any other interior color code I have personally seen on a e28. Can anyone shed some light on what it is? I tried my best to accurately photograph the color, and it seems rather close on my monitor.

I have sold the Taurus to a person with a black car which it will look much better in and had a pair of Alpina B10 recaros retrimmed in Pearl Beige which was the original colour in my car. I have also gone black everywhere mine was brown and have chosen dark consoles and carpet to contrast the seats as I prefer that look.

Your brown interior parts are nutria-brown. Moccha-brown ist more like peaunut-butter. Your interior ist called "Berberbeige"

Moccha-brown used till 9/82
Nutria-brown used from 9/82

Your interior ist rather special as it isn´t only Nutria, you have one of the really rare tri-color factory interiors. Dashboard, etc. black, consoles, carpet, etc brown and the seats with a type of beige leather.

There was:
"0128 Gobibeige", used till 9/82 (Black Dashboard, etc; Moccha-brown carpet and consoles; Beige leather (color unknown to me, looks like sand, color has a lot of yellow in it, but sure not perlbeige or pergamentbeige))
"0163 Berberbeige", used from 9/82 till 9/84 (Black Dashboard, etc; Nutria-brown carpet and consoles; Beige leather (color unknown to me, a bit darker than perlbeige, with a little dose more brown/grey in it, but sure not perlbeige or pergamentbeige)

Although your car should have beige door panels, if your interior is berberbeige. Another solution would be your complete interior was nutria and somebody put beige seats in it.

PS: If you your gona dismantle it someday i would be intrested in your nutria brown a/c-console if it is in good condition.

greetings

Been thinking about interiors again. Re-read this thread for inspiration. Noticed I didn't post latest pictures of Maytag's interior where I went further with the two tone.

I think it's OK. I just really don't love beige.

That's good to see for reference. I picked up some black surrounds, door pulls, handle covers, kick panels and center console pieces to turn mine into two tone. I like the cocomats too, I think you've sold me on those. I was undecided between the red/natural and black/natural but your photos have me convinced the black will look best. I don't think I'll have the means to source black sports unless some crazy person is up for trading a PB sport interior for a black sport interior, LOL.

Thanks!
