They are around $50 for a decent one.
Delphy who originally came out with the weather pack style connectors sell their tool, similar to yours for around $250.
The crimper I have is the DelCity "Open Barrel Terminal Ratchet Crimp Tool"

The crimp insert it has looks like this:

The jaws look like this and are designed specifically to be used with non-insulated open barrel connectors, just like the ones in the picture I posted.

Weather Pack crimper looks different:

Again, you are misinformed. You need to understand what "open barrel" means. It means the part where the bare wire is layed across the terminal to be crimped is exposed, with the ends to be crimped are splayed open. The tool rolls the ends down and over the exposed wire. The butt connectors in your photo uses the tool I pictured, or the first tool in the list on the site you linked, the insulated and non insulated connectors, yours being non insulated, not "open barrel". Are you picking up what I'm putting down yet? Spoiler: all Bmw oem connections are open barrel, not a non insulated connector like you have pictured. Look at the way it is crimped and you'll understand how it is different.
Also, your tool is the same as the weather pack crimper, as seen by the middle settings. The larger circular settings are for the weather pack insulation. Yours just does all open barrel, including weather pack.

Yeah, that's not the crimper you want for those connectors. That's what you use for these connectors:

Is it accurate to say that when the correct tool is used with the butt connector, a proper gas tight connection is achieved? Otherwise it's simply squished together and subject to potential future corrosion and reliability issues?
