Nice black & tan 535i on eBay. 1988 MY with 135,xxx miles. Getting bid on pretty actively it looks like. Interior is wonderful to look at. Underhood & underbody look like they'll need TLC. Same car was the subject of a post at "German Cars For Sale."

Couple of potential projects in the area.

1985 524td - $2000 (Annapolis)

https://annapolis.craigslist.org/cto/5919133468.html

Image
I have a 1985 BMW 524td for sale. It has no rust, body is in great shape, paint is in good shape.
Interior is decent. There is a tear on drivers seat. The drivers door panel is off but Is in the car.

Vehicle does not currently start and drive. Has a failed ignition switch and primary fuel pump. I have a pump for it, and the in tank pump is working.

Engine turns over and is not seized.

The tires are shot, all hold air but the right rear leaks down after a week or so.

It was garage kept until about 5 years ago. I recently purchased from the original owners. I had plans to restore it, however I am now moving across country and need to sell it. I'm asking $2000 OBO.
1984 BMW 733i and 1995 BMW 325i - $2700

https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva ... 93079.html

Image
Two for the price of one!

I have two BMW's that I would like to sell. Together preferred as in a bundle deal... but will deal separately if necessary...

1984 BMW 733i

Does not currently run. Recent work performed was the following... $1310.02 put into the following...

- New Ignition wire set
- Spark plugs
- Distributor cap
- Distributor Rotor
- Crank position sensor
- Fuel pump
- Fuel filter

Gave up on trying to get it running...

1995 BMW 325i

Runs well... body dented and paint in bad shape...

Look - hoping for a BMW guy to come over and take these off my hands. I have clean titles for both.

Make me an offer... I won't be insulted...

Thanks -

Ed

I strongly considered this car for a hot minute, but I'm so tired of owning silver cars.

This looks like a killer deal to me...only reservation is the noted mileage vs. replaced cluster...and no detail around it.

Probably from the Super Pursuit Mode switch on the dash (right side of the steering wheel).

How come these bmw performance cars hit such high numbers in these auctions, while for few more $k you can have so much more! Was it worth in parts so much?

Well, cheap is a relative term if you consider the (strategically not pictured) necessary body and rust work...
..........
CONS:
- Needs bodywork, specifically on drivers side rear quarter panel.
- Some small rust spots on the bottom of the drivers door (might be some on the other doors but I'm not sure, that is all the rust on the car though!)
.........

it's pretty high for what they got...but if an e28 M5 is what you want...then figuring in a 528e parts car hack job by someone who knows what they're doing and if they can also do the paint..you could have a nice M5 for $17-20k...even though the title will still be branded...not for me, but I can see the appeal to the right person...

Aww man, that m5 was Steve's car. Damn.

That car was fucking fast, he had done some suspension work. Bilstein sports/ bav auto full front and rear alignment. He is no doubt a very good driver but that car hooked in the curves and had good compression. Steve's been doing this vintage BMW stuff for a long time. Sucks that happened.

1989 BMW 750iL in very good condition - $4000

https://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/5911120401.html

Image
This car is originally from Texas, no rust anywhere. Small ding on the front of the hood. The car is in great condition and drives very nice. It is comfortable and agile. It features heated seats (front and rear) and adjustable lumbar for the driver. There are no rips or tears in the seats, there are a few spots on the rear seat.
The previous owner upgrades all the headlights and fog lights and installed clear turn signal lenses. It's a sharp automobile and has been very reliable as a daily driver. I own six vehicles and need to focus my attention on my '87 635.

The Good:
Very strong engine with no leaks
Dinan Performance Chip Set D900-5031 & Custom EML Performance Chip
Cooling is 100%, no leaks / no overheating
New Hi / Low beams and New Fog lights
New Rotors Front & Rear
New Brake Pads Front & Rear
New Control Arms
New Thrust Arms
New Tie Rods
New dog bones for rear (not installed yet)
New Tires on original bottle cap wheels
Comes with a set of Staggered MParallel's with new Blizzak tires.
I am the second owner and the car is originally from Texas.
COMPLETE documentation on the vehicle from new (see photos)
No Rust on the body except a dent in the hood from someone backing up.

The Bad:
Clear coat is almost gone
Will need rear struts
Slight vibration from front driver wheel (possibly out of round)
Slight drain on battery if left for several days without a tender. But I drive it every day so I don't put it on a tender unless I'm leaving town for an extended period.

1987 535is - $6,500
http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/5929661826.html
Image
1987 535is. Very clean car. Has original tool kit, manuals, etc. Lowered with Spax springs and struts. Hard to find Remotec wheels, and euro headlight conversion. No rust. Originally an automatic but has been professionally converted to a manual including lower mileage transmission, new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and a limited slip differential out of a Z3M. I still have the original transmission that shifted and functioned well as well as the differential. New powerflex polyurethane rear subframe bushings. Has high mileage (278xxx) but has been meticulously maintained. Many spare parts including a Zender rear valance, and a carpet pad for the dash (which has normal, but not bad cracking) included in the sale. This car has been loved for what looks like all of its life. Pictures don't do it justice. Too many little details to list. Call or text.
