Any update on this? I would gladly drive to pick one up from your place Dan. I could also take a few windshields a little farther east (Omaha environs) to get them closer to the Chicago guys.BimmerDan wrote:Midwest guys. I have a friend in Sacramento. I'm seeing when he is coming back to Nebraska. I maybe able to get him to put them in his truck.
I'll call him againmissmye21 wrote:Any update on this? I would gladly drive to pick one up from your place Dan. Ok if that's the case Ivo... I will take two (2) Green on Green. Shipped to Denver. Would that help? Keep the orders coming to complete 5 please.ovide wrote:I need to have at least 5 orders in Denver to make shipping affordable
If one of you wants to get into that, I will consider it!
This might be a great option
Keep me updated
Ivo and others,BimmerDan wrote:I'll take one and I could pickup in Denver and take them to Omaha if that helps?
Midwest guy here in Indianapolis IN. What do you think shipping would be from your West Omaha location?missmye21 wrote:My preference would be green/green. If this happens.
For the two or three middle Midwesterners that posted early interest, I have a depository for rare BMW parts in West Omaha. I could store your windshields there until you make some arrangements for a "Parts Express" or some other collection/transport to your location.

So we are one short?
If this scenario works, I do have a forklift and space to store it. Depending on the logistics, Brown Transfer hubs out of Kearney so pallet delivery is reasonable. I had an engine shipped for 145 dollars last year.missmye21 wrote:
Scenario #2 is shipped to Dan in Kearny. It is appealing because he is geographically in the middle. However, I suspect that it is more costly to ship to him in Kearny than a bigger place like Denver but I am not any expert.
y.
Yes! I'd be interested! Can pick up in SD!ElGuappo wrote:This is such a great deal and the quality cannot be beat.
Ivo, what about the E23 windshields?
I can get my hands on a few! $260 each plus $50 shippingGreg E34 wrote:Yes! I'd be interested! Can pick up in SD!ElGuappo wrote:This is such a great deal and the quality cannot be beat.

Great. Thank you kindly for your answers. I will paste on missmye21's response next to condense info and get this thing going, hopefully.BimmerDan wrote:So my friend will not be driving back until next winter, so we would be waiting close to a year.
I thought we were short one windshield, I missed you are getting two.
I have no problem going to Denver to help transport, the family keeps asking me to go for a weekend.
I would like to figure it out, that way I can make a schedule.
Awesome and thank you!missmye21 wrote:Mmmkay, I do thinks this can happen.
Scenario #1: 5 windshields accepted in Denver by HarryPalmer. One is for 70deluxe and Harry takes 2 and stores 2 for Dan to pick up later. Dan takes 2 to Kearny (one for him and one for me).
Scenario #2 is shipped to Dan in Kearny. It is appealing because he is geographically in the middle. However, I suspect that it is more costly to ship to him in Kearny than a bigger place like Denver but I am not any expert.
Scenario #3: if the so called Chicago guys had transport from my Omaha location I would offer to receive the shipment. I would get 1 and Dan would take 3 to Kearny (Harry really only wants one, one for Dan, one for 70deluxe) and 5th, 6th, and 7th could wait in Omaha for pick up (mtrspt5, fukoa and josephpilav). There might be a #8 windshield in this scenario if IndyMfive wanted to drive to Chicago environs to collect it.
@ IndyMfive, to reply to your question about shipping a windshield from my west Omaha storage to you, they are much too fragile for that! You can transport one or two across the back seat with some wide clear "shipping tape" attaching the top of the windshield to the top of your rear seat. Easy peasy.
Greg will be in SD too?ovide wrote:I can get my hands on a few! $260 each plus $50 shippingGreg E34 wrote:Yes! I'd be interested! Can pick up in SD!ElGuappo wrote:This is such a great deal and the quality cannot be beat.
