Wow, that's horrible. I feel bad that I even mentioned mine now.
In all seriousness, this last storm killed people, totaled hundreds of cars and caused millions in damage. I consider myself very lucky.
This poor girl was squashed dead yesterday afternoon on a main drag in Pacific Beach. She was a drummer who was on her way to a gig at Winston's in Ocean Beach.

I obviously angered the M Gods.
Time lapse video or it didn't happen.

The camera blew three backyards over, and plus, it only works when it's in range of my Amazon Echo.

Tomorrow will be the one year anniversary of me bringing the e39 home. Even though I’ve only put 1,399 miles on it, I have to say, I LOVE the car.
Today I put the trim piece on the grill of the front bumper that Chris Kohler talked me in to installing.

I just got back from my first roadtrip in this car and now I love it even more. Ran like a champ the whole way and got 30+ MPG on the highway. Very comfortable and un-fatiguing compared to the e28. On the mountain road between Santa Barbara and Los Olivos it had no problem hitting 100mph uphill in the heat with a full tank and a full trunk.

I second everything Chas just said about his E39 and the trip to Monterey; I too took my 530i up and back for my first long term trip inauguration as well (kind of pathetic to think I have owned this car since January 2014 and this is first time I took it farther than 300 miles, but it is a my city car after all).
I have to say I am more and more impressed with the the E39 (all the niggling biting maintenance repairs aside); it's comfort, smoothness, available power (fully loaded), quietness, as well as its' nimble adeptness (with Sport Package only) is making me glad I bought this thing. The drive back had me go through the back roads of Paso Robles wine country west of the 101 for some wine tasting and lunch. Being mid-week we had the roads to ourselves mainly and I put the car through its' paces on the twisties with an E28 M5 and 535is in hot pursuit. Boy that was fun.
Wished we could have timed things better, Chas, and been able to caravan back to at least Los Angeles.

Same here, wish I could have stayed longer. Give Ramona my best.

Yeah, me too. As you know, because of family stuff, I was last minute organizing this year. Next year I hope to have things better planned.
In addition to Hwy-154 I got to take Hwy-41 from Atascadero to Morro Bay. Not as twisty as I remember from the first time in 2014 but still a lot of fun.

Okay already. I've been out of the closet now for four weeks.
Yeah, I bought a V6 Accord for my daughter and I like it.
It smokes tires and shreds dignity of most who don't see it coming. VTEC is a hooot and I don't care who knows anymore. I race every hillbilly that crosses my path and do hellacious burn outs at major intersections because, well. . . Gray four door Honda. Haha. Fuck you.
Square up bitches. I''ll turn my flat brim cap around and roast you, and my Careless Whisper CD won't even skip a beat.

Proud of you, man. Takes balls to own up like this.

I made an early morning Trader Joes run this morning and had a funky burnt electrical-ish smell when I turned on the defroster. I hope it's the FSU/FSR (final stage resistor) because that's what I just ordered from AutohauzAZ.
